I was quoted a similar time frame. Mine took 16 weeks. You have to double the delivery time given. However once it arrives you will be pleased with the quality of construction & finish. It is probably up there with the best.

Guys
Just had through the door some sets of Flash main legs made for grass operation. They fit the std units and wheel/brake units. Hopefully get a set on my Flash soon and I can then start playing with it at my short grass local club strip. Dave W |

Here is a short clip of Daves Flash at our local grass strip fitted with the trailing link legs, of which he posted a photo in an earlier post. What is the weight of Dave's Flash and what turbine is in it? Landing looked alot slower than the many Flashes I've seen this side of the pond. Dave |

I would say the wind was there was a breeze of about 10mph, not windy. Daves Flash weighs around 21lbs dry I believe but i could be wrong and he will correct me later on this thread no doubt. As for landing speed, they all land as slow at the point of touchdown if you keep flareing but if the pilot has a tarmac runway then the approach tends to be faster because it is unimportant. Whereas if you are flying from a smaller grass strip more effort is put in to bleeding off the speed and setting up prior to rounding out. Of course pilot skill is a large factor but the Flash is capable of flying slowly if managed correctly. Hope that made sense. Trevor Skedge. |

It's actually around 23lb dry, landing shown was with a 1/4 of the main tank still full. It's a P120 turbine. Wind I would say was 7-8mph-As Trevor says you can land it a lot slower than people do-the Flash has a really thick wing so it's draggy, if you look I was landing with TO flap (around 15mm on my set up). The secret is I was off the power going base leg and gliding in-always aim to land 30-50 ft short of where you need to touch down and you will still make the strip. We are a lot cooler and the air is thick as we are just coming out of winter. Our strip is very lumpy (up and down) Dave Wilshere |
