Bought this new in Sept-05, modded a little with some alloy, borrowed an RC10GT header pipe/gas tank, mounted dual shocks. Will probably fire her up for the 1st time in a couple of wks to celebrate 1 year of being a shelf queen lol. I will definately be using it for onroad ( like to keep moving parts clean) still need to get a fail safe and eventually beef up the tranny's and get an .18. been lurking this forum for awhile and appreciate all the info shared here, top notch.

THATS IT...I HAVE HAD ENOUGH WITH INTEGY AND THEIR ****.... I have just received my engine mount from tower hobbies and its totally fukcing wrong...its so very wrong. The part is just like the original Traxxas part adn the finish is very poor quality...VERY POOR QUALITY. With the design they advertised, it allow the user to put any engine mount in the integy bracket mounting and then still have as much gear meching as you need. With this stupid new part I got its not like that and I am now back to square bloody one. Now I am more than angry I am sooooooooo very angry about this as I haev been charged for a BO charge and now I have to send it back and pay for it, then towers will charge me again to send it back to me EVEN if they can find or have the ability to gain access to the original part. What gives for utter stupidity and incompitance. Makes me want to use higher powers as such to inervene and put some pressure on certain organizations and companies to get sheet done damn well right.

Mod, dont you dare erase this. people need to know about various parts and incompetancies (so angry I cant even spell it)...!

I know where you are coming form as I quite buying Integy parts over 4 years ago because of all there BS and poorly made parts. I sill have several of there parts in my junk box that either do not work or are just junk. I even tried to get them to take the stuff back and they acted like I should thank them for just answering the phone and treated me like so much trash. [:@]

I am in the process of breaking in my OS.18 TZ and it is the most finicky engine I have ever break in so far. I know when a engine gets broke in it will run cooler but this is the hottest running small block I have ever broke in so far. I am heat cycling and it does not take near as long to get up to temperature then all the other small blocks I have broke in. But this is the highest performance small block I have ever owned. Will keep all posted. This whole site not only these thread seems like it sure has slowed down!

Hey buggymangp
Between work and all the work I am doing on my MT and Savage as well as I just got a Hyper 8 I am building I have not had much time to check out the forums like I normally do. Glade to here your MT is running fine! I think the TZ in my MT I am breaking in I am going to have to dial down the throttle trim when I race. I know not even broke in it is as fast at half throttle as my OS .15 CV-RX was at full throttle. Good to hear from you.

Do not have my Hyper 8 running yet just received it this past Tuesday. I have an OS .21 RG which is discontinued. I know it is not the most power full engine but I have talked to many buggy owners that say it is the most under rated engine they have seen and is a very good engine. There is a racer at our local track that has one in a Hyper 7 and it runs great. All so I picked it up new in the box for $90. I am running a Hitec HS-985MG coreless 172oz for steering and a HS 625MG for the throttle.

To be honest with you at this point I am not sure if I would buy the TZ for my MT again but only time will tell. If I was to do it all over again I think I would get the OS .18 CV-RX at half the price. The glow plugs alone for the TZ are more then twice as much at others. I did not get to finish breaking it in as my battery went down on my glow plug igniter. Just hope I have it read to race tomorrow if not I will run the Savage which I have a done a heap to it.

Mine started out as a MT 1 Racer and now is a MT 1 ¾. Have you up dated your differentials with the heavy-duty ring and pinion gear? This is a most if you are going to run a more powerful engine. The best bang for your buck is an OS .18 CV-RX.

If you have the stock ring and pinion gears you sooner or later will strip them no matter what engine you run unless you drive REAL easy. All so if you up grade the diffs make sure you shim them. You can all ways get a different engine and when the diffs give out fix them then. On my MT 1 Racer I up graded just about everything to MT2 SS specifications other then the radio tray and upper deck that is why I call it a MT 1 ¾. I have run and raced it so much about 90% of the purple is gone on the bottom of the chassis.

You have two ways to go on HD ring and pinion but this is they way I would go as it is the cheapest. You will have to use your old drive cup and set screw. Unless you up grade more.

Go to HPI web site and down load the manual. If these motors do not smoke you have a problem.

WOW guys, check this one out.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=180027227923

I was cruizing the web and bang...thought somebody may be interested...?

Yeah the tuning is always difficult at first and the t15 engine is bloody hard if your new to the hobby. DONT try to tune the mid speed needle though, just leave it at factory settings.

I would rather spend the extra money get the SS and sell the engine on ebay for $100 and buy an OS TZ or an OS CV-R. $60 of hop ups does not give you much and it says with out radio or electrics. IMO it is not that good of a deal after you pay the $50 shipping and no eclectics as well as the 15 T. But thanks for the heads up.

Yeah but its an RTR kit not an ss kit...but it has all the 18ss kit stuff with it. Some who wants to put a OS TM, tz or an abcd could do that without the hassle and also put what ever radio unit in ther without the cheap crap attached to it. Do you know the first thing I did as well as hundereds of others, was when I got my 18ss, we all took out the cheapy radio and servos and put better versions in there, then took out the engine...whats left though...? Just a shell with all the hops ups. But for a new deal...you can get the 18ss kit for ALOT more and you still have to do the same thing.......?, still sell the motor and radio units (if you can do that, nobody buys them much) and save money on the whole thing while buying new motors and radio units.....? Links please.

In terms of shipping...does'nt matter what you buy, shipping is a fact of purchasing...

I think the total cost of the kit is FAR more than what is asked...but thanks for the possitive response.

I took out the trucks today at the track for about 5hours along with the revo. The MT2 was insane on the track so I had to take out the 2speed and put the single SG inthere...WOW. Thanks to the shock mod though, I didnt scrap out on everything around the track after landings and heavy re-bounds. I have to get rid of the dodgy dirt bonz tyres though, they lasted - not totaly new, but not old either; just that sesion and they were balding. Have to get some better ones for hard pack tracks.

I have an 18ss and I put some moab tires to give it some more ground clearance. I am having a problem with the steering knuckle and the c hub. The knuckle keeps on popping our of the c hub on the lower arm when I land some 3 - 5 foot jumps. Is there anyway to keep this from happening? I am afraid of using a longer screw because I don't want to put a dent in the bearing that rides in the knuckle. I have tried teflon tape and threadlock with no results.
