Bought the slipper clutch and heavy duty 15t clutch bell yesterday. Can't wait till i get them. I had to back order the slipper clutch though, so i won't be able to use my truck for a while. Here are some links to them:

The main thing about the turnbuckles is you can adjust the camber and if you have them on the steering you can adjust the toe in or out. Adjusting these affect the handling. On one of my listing I asked what people run on the camber and I never did get a reply so I will have to do some experimenting. I do not know what the MT2 comes with as far as the differential gears you are talking about. There are two types. My MT Racer came with the pot metal and I changed them with the ones you are talking about, as they are stronger then the ones that came with my MT Racer. Yes if you have the pot metal get the steal gears we are talking about. As cheap as they are it never hurts to have a spear set. I keep a spear set in my field box. These are all so an up grade for the rush if they came with the pot metal gears all so. [8D]

That is no problem 46u. I really didnt try to make the gears work because i didnt want to screw up a 45 dollar set of gears. I just sent them back and was planning on using the stock replacemets. I got two sets of the new HPI MT-2 SS gears on order from tower hobbies whenever they get them. The gears will require part number 86341 for the input drive cup. I cant find that part yet because it isnt avalable yet. Guess i will keep waiting.

Are you sure this number is right 86341 as it does not even come up on HPI's or Towers web site.[8D]

Yea that is the part number that hpi gave me. The reason why it doesnt show up yet is because hpi hasnt made it avalable yet. I tryied to call them and order direct from them, they told me it wasnt avalable yet.

Here it lists under the mt-2 ss new spare parts.
the mt has 2, one for the front and one for the rear diff.
86431 for 9.00 a piece
[link=http://www.hpiracing.com/kits/nmt218ss/equipment.php]MT-2 SS parts list[/link]

Then you need this to hold the drive cup the the gear.

MT2 Beater:

I have actually bent the stock plastic upper control arms, so yes the titanium ones help. If you get either the MT2SS steel ones or the MT titanium ones get these ball cups:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXZT49&P=Z

I have never had these break. In fact they are so strong, I have snapped the ball off the ball end. Also I thing that the more ridgid turnbuckle alows your suspension to work more linear. The stock plastics ones flex way too much.

What's up troops? What kind of flywheel will work with the HPIA885 Racing Clutch[sm=confused.gif] I have never used this type of clutch shoes before... So I was looking at putting a duratrax vented flywheel (DTXC7702) on my O.S. 18. Will that flywheel fit with the racing clutch? That flywheel has 2 posts on it (like the original flywheel that goes on the T-15) I know they are made for 2 shoes, but wandering if it will fit.

This is the one that i am using. It makes it wind up much faster.
[link]http://www.gpmracing.us/index.cgi?partnumber=NRS410007M&c=148[/link]

I run that racing cluch with it set on the highest rpm setting. The flywheel is just a little bit bigger than the clutch bell.
You can use your factory flywheel with that clutch as well. You dont have to get a different flywheel.

For the T-15? A motor saver air filter works great.

I'm assembling my Mt2 18SS - and curious about using a starter box with it instead of the pullstarter.

Does the stock flywheel protrude enough for the wheel on the starter to engage it?

If not - what do I need to swap out to.

adrenalnjunky:

Your flywheel on your $33.09 HPI MT2SS will work with a starter box. I had to use one one time when my rotostart battery went dead.

Hey guys, I ordered this http://www.asiatees.com/display.php?...20MT%202&pid=1 Now I want to remove the bushings that comes with the original and replace them with bearings. Anyone knows the size of the bearings that I will need and a link to get them?

Tks,
Bruno

I got mine from GPM. Same brand as yours. Mine came with it. The cheaper ones come with plastic bushings.

These people are the retailer for GPM. You migh try calling them to find out

Yes you can get anything you need. Just look at your manual get the part number and enter in Towers advance search. If buy chance you do not have a manual you can go to HPI web site and down load it. Not sure what you are talking about on the OS? [8D]

MT2 Beater:

This is the engine:

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGGP7&P=ML The air cleaner that comes with it is the one I am using.

Here are the wheels and tires I am now using. I don't like the stock inserts, so I have gone to a 2 stage insert.

I purchased this chassis around Christmas, to start a project MT2. The project is going slow but I have made some head way on it, hopefully I will be able to post some better pics, and a progress report soon. I would like to take this time and thank everyone for the tremendous amount of information that they have shared on this thread and forum. I know that it has helped me out tremendously.

Thank you,

Bryan

P.S. Sorry about the fuzzy pic it is hard to get a good photo of the chassis because it is polished and the reflection from any light blurs the entire picture.
