yea its worth it to get all alloy. u can get all alloy parts free. this is what u gotta do. start jerkin off and put ur mt2 right infront of ur little pecker before u cum then cum all over every part u want stronger on ur mt2 and let it dry. then u have strong as alloy parts if not stronger

Personally i would not go over 15T with a 47T spur gear, Just my opinion

if you want top end then you should get something like a 17t cb and if you were willing to change the spur gear you could go ro the 47t spur to get even more top end

As for racing clutch bells. I have the 13 tooth HPI racing clutch bell. In the next few days I'll be buying a new engine for my MT2 - The LRP z18s. To match the great increase in power I'm looking to get a faster top-end speed. What tooth clutch bell do you guys recommend? (I have the basic 52 tooth spur gear at the moment and am looking to keep that on the car).

no it uses a long spring that you wrap around the clutch shoes, the hpi racing clutch comes with the shoes and the spring

Does the HPI racing clutch require the same springs that the basic clutch shoes take?

no, what do you need all that heavy alloy for, are you trying to make a crash test car to run straight into walls?? lol....especially if you want to start racing your mt2 you should put as little alloy on it as possible

You can not fit a 17t cb with a 52t spur using the stock slots in the chassis. The mesh will be to tight. I'm running a 16t cb and 52 spur with the .18 OS CV-R. It has a bit to much top end for racing but is fun for bashing. If I were to regear I would run a 15t cb and 52 spur.

i know, i run a 13t cb and a 52t spur with the .18 OS CV-R and that didnt even fit, i had to break out my power dremel to make the slots longer and i havent had any problems with the mesh so far.. you should try the 13t cb 52t spur set up it has loads of torque, i love it, i got my friend to help me and he clocked it at 29mph in an estimated 2 seconds, and then he asked me if he could have a try at driving it and i was like maybe its time for you to go home, lol

hey anybody that waterproofs their electronics with balloons DO NOT use balloons on your servos, i used balloons on my servos, reciever, batter holder, and even my failsafe.. i just took the balloons off my servos cause i was trying to figure out a problem i was having with my electronics, and inside the balloon it was all wet and i think that was the problem, the batter holder, the reciever, and anything inside the tray was not wet inside because the tray is inclosed..good thing i have spare servos

yeah you have a good point there! I was ok, maybe luck was on my side yesterday

The problem with balloons, or any latex really, is that is sweats with condensation. If you were to wrap up the electronics during the summer months they wouldn'd become wet as there's no cold air.

so how good are graphite shock towers for bashing not that thers anything wrong with the stock plastic ones. i just like the fact that they have diff shock positions. whats this for [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0095p?FVPROFIL=++&FVSEARCH=72215&FVPROFIL=++]diff gear spring[/link]
if you install them in one diff they will more evenly distribute the power to both wheels instead of just one wheel spinning by itself, they are mainly for racin not for bashing cause they help your car pull out of corners better without having to slow down alot or oversteering

Hey guys, I've been reading a lot of this thread and it seems like it's the most popular one here. Anyway, I was planning on getting an MT2 18SS for racing at my local track. Would this be a good choice for a racer? I know 46u races his mt2, and I wanted to know if I could race it in the 1/10 stadium truck class. Also, what would be a good radio for the truck? I was looking at the spektrum DX2, but I was considering any good synthesized FM radio because I'm tired of my crappy AM radio in my Nitro Sport. Thanks in advance guys!!

Hey guys, just added 3 new pictures of my Mt2 and the new tires, i have some aluminum turnbuckles and some other neato parts coming in the mail pretty soon, i'll give you guys an update. I will also get my truck muddy once my new clutch bell comes in. and i will post some pictures.
well if you are running a 52t spur then no that will not work, you will have to file down the engine mount slots so you can move the engine over more to make it fit

yeah just be carful with that extra clearance as it will cause your truck to flip over alot easier

hey torgs thosetires look good but i think they are a little to big and heard that they were made for mostly rock climbing and stadium truck freak.... the only aluminum parts that you will need are c hubs and knuckles. metals bend instead of breaking and just transfer the breakage to the next weakest point. even if you were to crash it i bet you would break more stuff with aluminum then plastic. plus they are way heavier than plastic...
o and so fari hate this winter. they say its gonna snow anout 6 inches.. not that its bad but y does it have to snow when my fricken car breaks down[:'(][:'(]
