listen the more you run your motor the higher the temps unless the tuning is set ok and it stays cool then it would be ok but the more fuel does affect top end temps you,ll see when you blow your motor lol

yeah thats the way i was going to do it but there were certain complications and i wasnt able to do it, and it doesnt make a difference on the temps by running 2 tanks its the same as running one tank and then filling it back up before it completely runs out..anyways i just got in from running it and it ran pretty well until my rear diff stripped, but that wasnt by fault of the dual tanks, and one of the bad things about the dual tanks is it increased the top weight and i have to put the body posts really high so the body could fit over the tank

if i may suggest i think you would have to run the top bigger tank feeding into stock position then from stock position to the motor, just a suggestion but cool

here is where i am with the dual fuel tanks, i havent gotten a chance to try it out yet but i will soon..the big tank is 100cc and the other one is 75cc so ill be runnin 175cc, which should give me about 35 to 45 minutes of run time...tell me wat you guys think

yes i know this, but the engines are made to be able to run for more than 2 tanks without overheating

Hello, people!
Well I've just gone and ordered a crap load of stuff for my MT2, the most important component of which is the O.S .18 CV-RX engine. For anyone who owns this engine and has it on their MT2, any tips/advice you offer on attaching the flywheel from my MT2, etc? Anything you think is important.
I've ordered the HPI racing clutch and I've already got the super duper diffs.
Also - I've heard that attaching the racing clutch is an easy job, as opposed to the basic clutch shoes - Is this true?

I'm assuming most people use the stock flywheel from the MT2 on the O.S, is that easy to attach? (And I'm assuming it uses the same bearings that I use currently for my racing clutch bell.
yeah the stock flywheel will work and it goes on easy, you just slip it off the old engine and then slip it on the new one

Thanks, man.

Thanks again.
I've also ordered, from Tower Hobbies, the MT2 aluminium tuned pipe for now. I know it's probably not one of the best, but it'll do for now instead of the stock pipe. i'll keep the same manifold for now, too, but can you recommend a decent manifold for the O.S that will fit with the MT2 tuned pipe (I'm assuming they are more or less universal sizes?)

the stock manifold will be fine, the manifold doesnt affect performance only the pipe affects performance

What aftermarket engine can I buy that comes with or can easily be converted to roto-start? I want to upgrade but want to maintain the roto. Everything I look at seems to be bumpstart or pull.

I agree but I think some of it is that when people ask a question inside of a flowing discussion it gets lost.

Besides, that's what the quote tab is for. This kind of picks up a discussion that might have been disconnected somewhere along the lines.
As it's still winter here in the UK I know a lot of people don't use their trucks as much. I think when the weather gets a bit nicer, the forum will kick back up again.

I used to have a roto-start when I bought the basic MT2 RTR, but I got rid of that within a month as it was just terrible. It was just another thing to carry around, along with the glow plug igniter and the fuel bottle (and to be honest, I find a pull start far easier to start the engine with).

I'm slightly curious - Why do you like roto start? I see absolutely nothing positive about it.
