Eddie,
As I recall, the tweedy burd was my first wholy owned pattern model way back in 1978. I was flying it just fine at the open field we had in College; but when I arrived at a new field where I wanted to become a member, the local so called "expert" just had to try it out to make sure it was airworthy. What's a 23 year old new kid on the block to do. He proceeded to crash it. I vowed to myself that that was never going to happen again and it hasn't

Sorry for the late reply - I just now saw your message.
I hate to hear about your Tweedy Bird.
I purchased mine new in 1979 and it sat partly assembled until 2003. I got it out and decided since it had survived this long it really needed to be built. It surprised me in how well it flew. ON the maiden flight the motor died and I dead sticked it on the runway stopping at front & center. I was smiling from ear to ear.

Hi
Keith
She flies very well. Downlines are slow. Rollings are very accurate (weight of wings and carbon tube is 970 g / 34 ounces).
Incidence wing is 1 mm and incidence stab is zéro. CG is 36 %.
There are a little bit mix rudder> elevator and mix rudder > aileron.
Ryan
Thickness of trailing edges is 10 mm (0.4 inch). Airfoil is NACA 64012a (same as Oxalys) .
Regards

Thanks Keith I'm at 10 pounds 14 ounces with TrueRC 10C lipo's.
Making weight was an accomplishment worthy of winning the biggest loser TV show. I was on a mission to make it work and I did it!
I've only had 1 flight on it. So far very promising results. The plane is beautiful out of the box. Very well made. She'sa very wide body modern design too.All composite painted in the mold. Mike
