First I glassed the wing trailing edges where they accommodate the ailerons leading edge. Next the left and right aileron servos are fitted fitted ,with push rods being set up (will probably use Titanium links,)to connect the servo to the Ail control horn;since the ailerons are of foam with balsa sheet skin I installed 1/2'dowels as hard points and drilled them for the control arm first before gluing in place.
Finally some sanding to the bottom wing and its time to glass the entire wing.

Hi every one I have an OS 120 AX on the way that I'm going to attempt to instal in the Tiger Tail !Vs' nose ,in place of the 91 FX if the 120 AX does not fit its for sale or will trade for a NEW IN BOX OS91 FX even money to you guys.
Currrently doing a bit of fitting for the aileron servo leads and the air lines. This should be fun considerind the wing is already sheeted

Well its been a while since I "announced" that I had a then new OS120 2/C on order[&:]Well------it did not fit WAY too much-so I have an OS 91 FX in it again and its off the wall ond on the bench...I spent the last two building sessions correcting my leading and trailing edge shape on Rudder Elevator and Ailerons but it came out good and the hinges are on the way as the weight continues its way up[8D]

Hi David me too---here lately the big problem has been hobby supplies from building materials to hardware local HS no have----and its frustrating in the sense that I live in a populated and growing suburb/city . If any one reading this in southern maryland has a hobby shop in mind let me know. If I do go north up the road about 40-50 miles there is a well stocked shop straight retail ,not even a 10% club discount (though dealer serves our club in other gererous ways;finally there is the gas and local tax. This whole deal really brings out the Scotch in me-
So I will finish this post I will proceed to mail order and thats time lost[&o]

laid out the belly pan :trim and CA in position a bit of changes added "scrap" fiber glass flat sheet pieces trimmed from an earlier project (hardly ever throw any scrape out there is allways a need -
As pictured please note the 'wax paper' seperating the wing from the fuselage used when "blending in/fairing the rear fuselage wing juction. So next its out with the Zap finishing resin and (brown) fine grain Micro balloons and please note since I can not get EITHER Dave Brown or Prather Products for this quality building material I mail ordered from www.Fiberglasssupply.com

I sanded out the second skim and good thing I was on it as I had "Bondo d " the 1/4-20 SS wing bolts in place I managed to get them out as the Bondo was not FULLY CURED[X(][8D]
Well It is close one more skim coat sanding that and I will flip the bird over and work the upper fillet a bit.

Repetition has been the order of the day: its been fill and sand with both my current projects-On this Tiger Tail getting the airframe smoothed out and ready for the next coats seems to be an end less cycle. 8D]

THANKS for that raindave .
I AGAIN applied several more "skimcoats" consisting of Z Poxy finish resin and brown phenelioc 'micro balloons, mixed till it has the consistancy of regular bondo.. Well my hinges arrived in the mail so I can finish hinge the control surfaces and then finish the retract intallation, not sure which units both are the same one has been on the market and the other recently come on the market.[8D]
Lots of things to do

Airframe nears completion retracts and finish left to do and I'm serious about having it out this spring...it has been too long since I had the pleasure flying this semi vintage pattern ship. Semi vintage you say well-it is too young for SPA

More progress, with the wing and horizontal stabilizer fairing. Now it is time to install in wing aileron servos and I'm un decieded on which JR servos to use to get the most bang for the buck- The last Tiger Tail IV that I flew was equipt with Airtronics coreless dual BB servos and before the TTIVs demise I had added JR's then new 8611 servos on elevator and rudder and wow what a change to rudder authority and stabilization of pitch...

Today I recieved my set of Spring Air's 100 Series 116 85 degree 3/16" strut mains and was not disapointed. I noticed a (new to me) Control valve/Filler valve and posted a picture here along with the retracts as recieved from Spring Air.
I was all ready to bolt them new Spring Airs in place and deceided to first "have another look for any flaws on the Tiger Tails glass, foam and Balsa air frame prior to final sanding / finishing>>> and was not disapointed--
