The weight of the majestic is 2,4 kg. Engine with a standard muffler.
If the Oxalis is a little bigger, than I don't think I will get max performance with a 46FX and I have to look for a larger engine. Maybe it's time for a 4-stroke. OS or YS or maybe Saito. We'll see. I still have some time to think about it since the oxalis is not available yet here. In the beginning of 2006 I was told.

yes i have the majestic as well, not sure about the weight but it is no running the OS 46FX on an apc 11X6 cos e YS is going on the oxalys. i would say that the power is pretty much there for the OS 46 on the majestic but not exactly wad i am looking for in a 40 size pattern plane, and since the oxalys is slightly larger, i think it is a safer bet to work with the 4 strokes or even the OS 50 SX would work great if u r looking into the 2 stroke region.

HI All,
My kit arrived and it looks great - no damage. Worth noting is that the components feel very light - even the ailerons have lightening holes in them!!!! This will be a fun plane when I get it put together!

How is your progress in your OXALYS?, which engine are you going to use?, Can you send us some pictures?
THANKS!!
P.D. By the way...an OS 50SX or the 46AX would be enough power for this plane?
I am going to order this plane in 2 weeks more to PATTERNFLYER
THANKS

Hi Erdel,
I don't think the OS 46 or 50 is going to be enough power to replicate the power of a larger size pattern ship. I'm thinking that the only way to go is either the YS .63 or Saito 80, both 4-cycles. As for electric, I'm not sure which motor would be the best. I won't be able to work on mine for around 2 more weeks due to work travel and some other priorities.
Thanks,
Jim

I have one on order from Pigs Airlines as there doesn't seem to be a Kyosho importer in the UK, but it looks like it will be another couple of weeks before it arrives. It will have a YS 63 fitted.

I personally think that the OS 70 one of the most heaviest engines in its class, i would recomend you a YS63 or at least an OS 50SX
Another good option could be the MVVS .49 is very powerful and its light!

Hi all. i got my Oxalys the first of the month and a YS 63. just now getting started on it after finishing the Kyosho Agwagon . Are most of you useing the split Y for the elevator halves or are you changing to the MK bellcrank system? I am looking at going with the MK bellcrank, but how much work is it getting it put in. Thanks

David: I just today received my OXALYS 50. It is beautiful and cost me $226.23 including shipping and CA sales tax. One can order it through ULTIMATE HOBBIES, (714)538-3111, ask for " TOPPER ". Delivery will take about one week. As I print this, Kyosho in Calif. has about one dozen on hand. Luck, Charlie.

Hi guys,
I have the following engines options:
1) OS-70 FS Ultimate Pump
2) OS 46-SF Ring
3)West Eurotech (Webra) 36T1 with Tuned Pipe (Power is very close to 46-50 size 2 stroke see picture)
Please let me know asap I found a very good deal, but I have to use the above engines can not afford a fancy four stroke such as YS-63.
Another question will this plane be able to freestyle/3D with a rearward CG and large throws on Elevator and Rudder?

Nickolas,
between the two, you should opt for OS 70 4 stroke with pump. As far as 3d is concerned, This is more of a patternship than a freestyle /3D machine. The rudder area and throw is good but elevators are standard pattern type. I'll let you know more when I fly it.

Wonderful to see the pipe mounted! One question, did the header require any form of bending to postion it correctly for the pipe? Keep the pics coming esp the engine/pipe part. Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I bought it today it looks very nice, fuselage is pretty wide and tall. Yes I will use OS-70 Ultimate with pump which currently sits on another plane. You're right 3D is probably not possible, ailerons are not full span and tail surfaces are not enough for 3D. Stabilisers seem smaller than other planes of that size.
I'm participaiting in a local Pattern contest (novice class) in 3 weeks time, I was planning to use my Showtime but I'm using a top notch setup there and will not have many flights till the contest. I'm not gonna risk it as my YS-110 will not be broken in completely till then.
On Oxalys I'm going with the following setup please let me know if I made a wrong choice.
Engine: OS FS-70 Ultimate Pump (What prop really? Is APC 13x7 ok?, I found one on my bench)
Fuel: Cool Power Heli 30%
Servos: Ailerons JR-517 (0.27 sec, 3.1 Kg), Rudder and Elevator JR-591 (0.24 sec, 5.1Kg), Hi-tec HS-81 Mini on throttle
Battery: JR-1100mAh
I know my servo selection is basic, but will it do the job for the novice category?
Rgrds,
Nick
