No pics of the kit before it was built. There is just no way you can plan on just going to the hobby store only once, and the fun part of building a kit like this...is working your way thru the challenges. I have had many mistakes that I had to work thru. That is how I learned and made the boat uniquely my own....good luck with the kit. Check in with me when you get it, and I will try to help if I can.

im just skimming through this thread and noticed the wire around the motor question.
i beleive it is cooling coils, there is a pickup somwhere on the boat that moves water through to tubing to keep the motors cool.

i dont know too much about fiberglassing, but finishing resin sounds like something you put on after you have fiberglassed and sanded it down to give it a smooth finish.

I keep checking out this thread, since I've loved this boat since I first saw it, but I searched ebay and found one for $314, hope this helps.

The Kit comes with plans, Fiberglass hull, 2 prop shafts, 2 props, connecting hardware for props and shafts, 2 Rudders, dowels, wood planking, and also laser cut wood. You will need to add your own touches including ESC. Radio, 2 motors, batteries.
Here are a few updated pics on the latest project....the ladders, and the rear railing, still in the rough...but coming along nicely.
