RE: Whats wrong with this picture?

OH MY!!! I haven't seen such a bad infestation since I was in Altus. I agree that for the safety of the members the airfield should be shut down. Maybe if Orkin or Terminex were a sponsor something...

RE: maneuvers

I agree with the latest posts. The simulator can be a lifesaver and although it isn't exactly like real life at least you get used to moving the sticks in the right directions. I would hate to...

RE: Regretting not getting the ARF (again), 4*60 build

I built an uproar 60 last year and it was eeeeaaaaassssyyyy until I tried to figure out how to cover it. Shaping the leading edge wasn't bad but that is a lot of excess wood to plane off... I...

RE: WM P-51 Maiden flight success

That is easy to fix go to you hobby shop or a vinyl graphics place and pick up some colors for the bottom. Stick it on and be creative. Checkers never go out of style :)

RE: first plane with reusable electronics?

I too have both glow and electric. I am in the military and before I flew the first time I got months of practice on Realflight G2. It is an indespensable tool for those that want to get to...

RE: first plane with reusable electronics?

The problem with electrics as someone briefly mentioned earlier is:
1. You must wait to charge batteries in between flights... Even with a quick charger if you don't have several sets you will fly...

RE: first plane with reusable electronics?

Another good option is to get a plane with everything you need. There are many planes out there that have a good beginning radio, servos engine and they usually even come with a simulator to get...

RE: SFG's... learned the hard way.

Well the Tribute really is a good plane. I have been away from flying now for about 7 months due to working overseas and I decided rather than risk my plane that I spent time building from sticks I...

RE: SFG's... learned the hard way.

JD not to be rude but I agree with PD. A little scap balsa and some glue and you should have it back up and flying in no time. Good thing is after the first crash you are more willing to take...

RE: SFG's... learned the hard way.

The .40 should be fine. The only way to find out is try it out. The plane is rather inexpensive and those old .40's are reliable. I personally have a saito 56 on mine and I love it. The power to...

RE: SFG's... learned the hard way.

Not to be rude :)... But it should work well with a tuned pipe. Just make sure the pipe isn't too heavy. If you have a newer .40 LA remove the baffles from the muffler and you will unleash a lot...

RE: But he saved his face! (can be disturbing)

I have seen some people do some crazy things. Maybe if we had pics like this posted at the fields it would make people thing twice about flying through the pits. I went to a field one time and a...

RE: SFG's... learned the hard way.

Not to be rude... But I love my tribute. Wait no I guess that wasn't rude at all. There are many ways to fly if you can take off and land successfully then you had a good day. We all make mistakes...

How to build with white glue

Over and over I hear people recommend building with white glue rather than using CA. I consider myself still rather new at building so I venture to ask. How do you do it? With CA I build it on the...

RE: Tower Uproar 60 Kit and some philosophy

I know this is an old post but I built an Uproar as my first kit and I loved it. The plane went together quickly and I actually had it built in less than a week. For a first plane that is amazing. ...

RE: Prop for H9 Pulse XT

The 12.25 x 3.75 will provide you great performance with that motor. From the sounds of your initial post the motor is most likely still breaking in. If that is the case I suggest a 11x5 or 11x6...
