Help Identifying Antique "Eisfeld" Ignition Engine

I have recently aquired several antique model gas ignition engines and am having great difficulty identifying this particular engine. The only indentifing mark is the word "EISFELD" stamped into what...

RE: Charging time for this charger?

The charger you mention is designed for 8 cell TX packs and 4 cell RX rechargable packs. It will not properly charge packs of different cell counts.

At best you will have an undercharged 6 or...

RE: Brushless F-27 Stryker

My buddy has a BL Striker using the Multiplex 480-4D, 3S 2500mah Tanics, Multiplex 27A ESC and he was using a 6x4 APC.

Performance was very impressive in my opinion, but he was having problems...

RE: Lipo Battery Charge time

In general you can divide the charge rate in AMPS, into the pack capacity (MAH) and get an ESTIMATED time for charging.

With round cells we normally never completely discharge them to zero...

RE: Dragonfly FP electronics to honeybee FP?

Most of the clones are nearly identical in basic design and contruction.

You might have to move the electronics around a little depending on which frame you deside to go with, but otherwise...

RE: Heli Practice Tip

The power supply must have enough currect capacity to be able to work for this. I would say something in the +5A range. The supplied wall pack chargers are usually rated at less than 1A and thus not...

RE: Wobble of Death

For FP machines, the blades need to be advanced slightly to stop the "death wobble" that occurs out of ground effect.

This involves moving the blades forward in the direction of travel about...

RE: IsPaypal safe, and how much does it cost?

Most people seem to be happy with the PayPal services, I however have NOT been so happy with PayPal. Go to No PayPal to see the other side of the coin.

'BidPay' is another option, of which I...

RE: This may be a dumb question - floppy blades

bswole;

It is VERY important the blades be advanced slightly from the flybar instead the normal 90 degrees that the instruction manuals normally recommend. About the width of the blade tips...

RE: Hovering Honey Bee????

I've broken 1 plastic skid at the joint and 1 CF strut seperately.

The skid problem was fixed by drilling the hole(s) all the way through to be able to insert the strut completely through.

RE: Advice

Personal experience and lots of time in the forums has taught me that MOST of the FP helis are actually pretty sound. The basic design has been cloned by many different manufacturers and for the most...

RE: What'll happen if using a 3cell li-ion charger to charge a 2 cell lipo battery?

The difference between Li-Po and Li-Ion is this:

Li-Po, soft case, polymer gell inside. Will swell and can vent (possibe fire) if overheated/charged.

Li-Ion, Hard casing, liquid inside. Can...

RE: How long do tail motors last?

Guys;

I've lost one tail motor on my Sabre (Honeybee clone) so far, but that was from crash damage. Probably 30+ flight with the 7 cell NiMh pack. Never got anything but lukewarm, same with the...

RE: Dragonfly drifts hard to the left

Ideally with the servo arms AND the trims on the TX centered, your swashplate should be level. Most of the time this isn't the case with pre-assembled (RTF) units.

Re-centering the servo arms...

RE: is the HeliMax RotoFly ep heli a good first heli

I do not own a Rotofly, but have examined them at length.

Very similar design to most of the FP clones although it's physical size is somewhat smaller. This may make indoor flying slightly...

RE: Dragonfly -- Changing RX Frequency?

Your 4-n-1 board looks awfully familiar.

Answer: Yes.

My attempts and consequent conversations with the distributors confirm there is NO known compatibility with any of the name...

RE: e sky honey bee for beginner (newbie) well, not really but....

My personal recommendation is to stay away from the RTF's that come with off brand radio systems. These off brand radios are not normally compatable with anything else and usually of very poor...

RE: CAN'T TAKE OFF ...Why?

Sounds like a battery charging problem. If you are using the supplied wall pack charger, how long are you charging? These typically take several HOURS to completely charge a battery pack. Review the...

RE: tail rotor problem

I think there is some confusion (at least on MY part) as to whether you have a MOTOR driven tail rotor, or SHAFT/GEAR driven tail rotor.

Gear driven (connect by a shaft to the main rotor) should...

Ok since we figured out the 75mhz problem, lets move on from there.

RE: smartech aerohawk problems

Could very well be that some un-noticed slop in the swashplate and/or linkages is causing your headaches. Poorly centering servos can also make control difficult.

Helicopters need smooth, but...

We also use 27mhz, but it is most commonly used for vehicles and boats. It is also sometimes called a shared frequency, because aircraft are allowed to use it, though mostly only what...
