I also have a funtana . I know the manufactor calls for a 100 size engine but it will be under powered. so the first choice was a saito 120 and it flew well. the balance was perfect and all manuvers...

put the 180 in it and have a great time . i I started with a 100 as per instructions , Nah not enough power , switched to a sato 120 a lil better , but the 180 on 30% runs exellent . nice stable...

the manual calls for the engine to be mounted sideways and on mine im running a saito 120 the plane is still calling for more power on hover the balance is good at factory specs. but you can move it...

re post ah . sorry but they are bar clamps that we use .18 inch. if you notch the table at the clamp location it makes a perfect fit and does not let the clamp move .

on a full battery charge u might get a lil servo flutter if your radio is real close to the plane , actuate the servos a lil corner to corner to wear down the surface charge . also metal hydrides...

check out tower hobbies web page.. im now switching over to nickel-metal hydride 6 volt 1650 mah at 22.95 its cheaper than most 4.8 1500 mah i already run 6 volts in all of my planes 15 differant...

as far as I know there is no proplem on 6 volt for any reciver , all servos show dual voltage percentages 4.8 and 6 volt [power out put ] you dont need any rectifre for the change old tales...

you didnt state the size of plane you have , on my funtana 90 witch calls for a 100 4stroke is way to small of a motor, per horizons suggestion , so out it went to a saito 180 , mounted side ways ...

dont buy either one, a 99 dollar twist is a cheap planeand flys like a house fly small and twitche. the funtana has had some warpage problems in the tail section , and also will tip stall at any time...

have also installed saito 220 on gucd. used stock mount , with a 3 line, fill carb, exhaust, having saitos inverted with fuel problems, simple trick is to put a loop in your fuel line 1 inch above...

flip 3d is an exellent plane had a os 72 in mine flew great ... put in a 6volt battery for more responce on your servos it will increase the operating speed and give you more power. add dubros servo...
