RE: GP Venus 40 Engine

I agree, OS 50SX is perfect. However if I had the engines you have available, I'd use the 46FX.

RE: New Kit - TF Piper Arrow

I'd say it's about the Bonanza size (around 80"). Yes had the Hershey Bar wing... at a distance I thought it was a Cherokee, too.

RE: New Kit - TF Piper Arrow

The guy who built it said there's cutouts in the top sheeting with a sheet below. Then you use filler and sand to make it smooth. Very time consuming and probably not the easiest way of doing it. ...

RE: new.. fliton infinity 90

That's their 3D version of the same aircraft. Larger control surfaces. I don't know it's name.

New GP ARFs at Chicago - Chipmunk and Cap

As seen at the Chicago model show. Both look very nice. Although the Cap seems heavy when I picked it up. The Chipmunk, too, with all that lead they had in the nose.

The show seemed smaller...

New Kit - TF Piper Arrow

Seen at the Chicago model show this past weekend. Build construction looks similar to the Bonanza with a removable cabin top. The horizontal stab is the same as on the full size Pipers.

Just...

RE: new.. fliton infinity 90

Got a chance to see these models at the Chicago model show this past weekend. They look really nice... and the guys from Fliton seemed pretty cool. Said they have their own factory in China and no...

RE: exteme aircraft cap 232

How much throttle does it take to hover with the 160FX? I have the H9 80" version in the box but I want to stay glow (I know! flame away) I just can't transport the bigger ones.

Thanks!

RE: Building a Bonanza

Thanks - I got my plane up for sale again!! (as well as the cockpit kit) The plane flies very nicely but takes up a lot of space in my workshop.

Trying to part with some of my models so I can...

RE: My New Custom built K-TRICK 90

Khzier-- very cool. Did you make the kit yourself? I was thinking that one day I'd do the same... do exactly what you did. The G-Trick is a fine flying machine but heavy. It's the perfect size...

RE: My New Custom built K-TRICK 90

I have about 2 - 3% up elevator compensation mixed in for knife-edge flight. Haven't measued my CG in a long time but it flies pretty much hands off inverted. Just a slight amount of down needed. ...

RE: OS 120 II ppump for TF Bonanza/T34

I have the same engine/prop combo on my TF Bonanza. The RPM sounds in the ballpark... I forget what mine was running. I think I richened it so that it runs around 9000-9100 RPM. Using 15% Wildcat...

RE: SIG King Cobra info wanted

I agree with everyone here... it's a super sport aircraft, especially if you like to fly fast. Build time can be pretty fast thanks in large part to the foam wing. I used a Rossi 61 RE on mine and...

RE: Re: Synergy 90 ARF

I needed a canopy and used a canopy for a Kyosho G-Trick which I ordered from Tower. Pretty much the same dimensions! I knew this before hand as I took my cracked Synergy canopy and laid it on top...

Great Planes Venus... hands down my fave 40 size of all time.

Close runner up is a Sig Kavalier (not an ARF though).

RE: Thunder Tiger 120 Pro question.

I just didn't use the 6" straight coupler. That's why it appears shorter.

I still have a very, very, very broad needle indicating the pipe may be too long??

RE: kyosho G-Trick, what engine n servos?

Here are two pics that may illustrate the lack of glue used on this thing. On my 2nd flight ever, I had a deadstick (YS 91) downwind and low. To make matters worse I acidentally flipped to hi rates...

RE: kyosho G-Trick, what engine n servos?

I second what Mike says. Hot glue everywhere... even the balsa sides were not glued to the lite ply in the fuselage. It is on the heavy side. Used to have a YS 91FZ on mine and it was nice with...
