RE: Servo Choice for Oxalys 50

Hi,

I used Futaba 9650 for all control sufaces, and a small mini servo for the throttle. You save ~20g on each servo compared to the standard size. Be sure to move the tank around C.G, as this...

RE: A sad day today!

Hi all,

My Twister is the one on the right in the picture. I had a very bad landing, suddenly lost the wind in the final of the landing and it fell down on the nose and the right wing. It was...

Rapicon fuel

Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have any experiences using Rapicon fuel? I'm about to try it on my OS140.

Happy landings,

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Hi,

I used a knife and cut out a pice of the tail fin under the plane just in front of the tail wheel. I glued the weight and the piece of the tailfin in place using epoxy. Then sanded it down...

RE: 63S valve adjustment how-to

Troy,

I noticed a slight performance gain after setting the tappet clearance to 0,05mm. Is this the case if they get too much off the specified gap? Both tappets had slight more than 0,1mm gap...

RE: 63S valve adjustment how-to

Hi,

This was no rocket science. It was easy to figure out after removing the valve cover. I just wanted to be sure I did it the right way.

Measured the tappet clearance to be a bit more...

63S valve adjustment how-to

Hi,

I have been flying my Oxalys 50 with a YS63-S for a while now, and I really enjoy it's reliability and awsome power! As my earier experience is only 2 stroke engines, I hope that some of you...

RE: Ts Oxalys build

Hi Rune,

This looks really nice :) Looking forward to take a look at it! I had 7 nice flights with the small Oxalys today. Going to move the CG a bit more towards the tail and mount the...

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Asif,

I think the 13x3 prop will give you far too much RPM. I broke it in with 12x6, and switched to 13x6 when flying for the first time. Props is a personal preference too, so you will just...

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Hi Asif,

This is exactly the same setup that I'm using. With the APC 13x6 you will get unlimited verticals (especially if you run on 30% nitro). This setup is so powerful that you have to be...

RE: Header for OS 140RX

Hi,

I ordered a solid header from Lorentz in Germany. Works great. I cut mine in two pices so it could flex a little as the engine sits in a Hyde mount.

RE: GP Venus 40

fayrwerks,

I would recommend the Kyosho Oxalys 50. Take a look at it. I bought mine from Lindinger Modellbau (http://www.lindinger.at/index.php?language=en) The plane is designed around the YS63...

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Well, had the first flights with my YS63 powered Oxalys this weekend. All I can do is smile, this little plane flies and feels like my 2m Twister.
The YS engine is a monster on 30% nitro :) :) :)...

RE: Mintor 2 Plug Head?

Hi Henning,

Will have to measure it to give an exact answer. But it's almost the same as Rune and Ola. Think that Lorentz recommends about 90cm, and I ended up with 87 if that makes sense. Will...

RE: Mintor 2 Plug Head?

Henning,

If I remember correctly Lorentz also had a low pressure pipe, order number 444. But the one in your picture at least looks like that one. Works very well! I'm still using the twin plug...

RE: Groovy 50 or venus 40?

Murdoc,

Take a look at the Oxalys 50 before you make up your mind. I'm building one right now, the quality of this kit is better than the Venus 40. I ordered it from Lindinger Modellbau, took a...

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Will try it without the canalizer first, I'm interested in finding the differences :)

The only thing I dislike with the kit is the alu landing gear and the way they have mounted the wheels....

RE: O.S. 140 Bearing question

Hi,

I'm using a sealed stainless bearing from SKF in my 1.40 with great success. Will find the number and specifications for it if anyone is interested.

RE: New Kyosho Oxalys 50 ?

Hi,

Think I'm going to order this beauty for off season F3A practise. Anybody know where to get one? I live in Norway. Looked at pigs-airline pages, looks like they have the plane, but I have...
