RE: AMR 50 Trainer

It is polyester dress linning. It comes in various weights. I can't remember what I used. I bought it at Hancock Fabrics. Very inexpensive. BTW, to stick it to the plane I put a couple of coats of...

RE: AMR 50 Trainer

The fabric is polyester, it is filled with water base polyurathane and color coated with Krylon spray paint. It is top coated with clear Lacquer. She flys great. Way more responsive than I would have...

RE: AMR 50 Trainer

Well it has been some time since I posted. The T-50 is now the owner of a military contractor that conducts flight training on unmanned drones. THe plane has been converted to a tricycle landing gear...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

I just put my engineer hat on and I am thinking about the gap from the end of the carb to the firewall. Turn on your vac and take the hose and starting 6 inches from the wall start moving it forward....

RE: Sig Rascal 110

1. I have no pics of the wing strut mod on the fuselage. What I did is remove the original blind nuts and cleared the inside of the fuselage where the new blind nuts would make contact so that they...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Don't eat without us. We're on our way.

I will check. Both the LOF Rascal and the AMA T50 are being converted to be used as unmanned drone trainers by a friend of mine who has a training...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

The field I flew at had obstructions at both ends and was not so long. The first time I bent the Lg wAs when the engine died right as I started climb out after takeoff. The engine died when the plane...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

I am so sorry to hear that. Both my exhaust and the landing gear rods came from there.

I truely believe the tubing between the sruts on the fusalage is a big deal. It takes the load off the...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

The items I modified were as follows:

1. Strenghtened the main landing gear mount after it cracked loose after several landings.
2. Modified the wing struts mounts at the fusalge end by taking...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Not even close to the same. The wing struts are strong and there are peeps doing things with the Rascal 110 that you would be amazed with. Mine would do a loop from level flight at 1/2 throrrle...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Very clean Zippi. Did you make an access hatch to access the EI and battery. I hated pulling everything out to get to it. Not mention the fire when the ignition battery blew. That was a mess.

RE: Sig Rascal 110

You will not be disappointed with the g26ie. I ran a bambula 18-8 prop. I also had a Ralph Cunningham aftermarket ignition unit which draws much less current. I could not hover but knife edges and...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

It doesn't look to me like it has flaps on it as mentioned earlier. It says it takes 5 servos and that is not enough for a plane with flaps. It would take 7.

RE: Sig Rascal 110

That is exactly the muffler design I was envisioning. One of the other uses of flaps is to loose altitude quickly without building airspeed. The fowlers do a great job of that.
