RE: Double sided servo tape

I have always used liquid lighter fluid (Zippo fluid) for all my sticky needs. It works much better than Goo Gone, and doesn't leave the greasy residue that Goo Gone does. It is super cheap too!

RE: Power source for Turnigy charger

I converted a power supply too. No biggie if you are comfortable with a soldering iron (you could get away with not using an iron, but the results wont look as good). Mine works great. I added...

RE: Returning to flying. Wish me luck

I am in the same boat as you guys. I haven"t flown (except for on the sim) since August of last year. I hope to get out soon. I will be flying my Cessna for the first day out, but will have the...

RE: almost done building escapade... but where do these go?

I'm not sure what they are for either, but I know I had them left over also. Still have both those pieces on my work bench actually I figure I may need/use them for something at some point.

RE: What should I expect from joining a Club

Where about in OKC are you? I started out at TORKS club at Lake Hefner, but am considering joining the CORCS in Norman (the field is much closer). TORKS has a great beginners program (I know first...

RE: Are there any CORCS (Norman, OK) members here?

My family and I made it out fine. It was the first time we had to use our storm shelter though. It makes me really happy I have one. I think we may have had a small tornado touch down in my...

Are there any CORCS (Norman, OK) members here?

I was driving down Highway 9 on Sayurday, and saw 2 R/C Airplanes flying overhead. When I got home, I googled RC Field Norman, OK and sure enough there is an airfield down there!! How did I not...

RE: Help with antenna for DX-7

I did the same thing to my Futaba 7C. I was able to CA the swivel at a 90 degree angle, then I used heat shrink over that to act as a sort of tape. You can hardly tell it was repaired. I am still...

RE: Servo screw sizes?

What screw's are you referring too? I assume you mean the screw that holds the servo arm on, and if that is the case, I am unsure if you can buy these separate. If you are talking about mounting...

RE: Qustion about wings and local wind

I was a member of TORKS, and like the field very much. I found the runway to be to short for me however, and ended up flying off the grass every time I went. The grass was always neatly groomed, so...

RE: Qustion about wings and local wind

Where in OKC are you located? There are 3 Fields in the OKC area. One at Lake Hefner, one at Lake Draper, and one in Yukon.

RE: G5 Simulator

I assume you mean DX7. They do include an adapter to use Spektrum radios. It is kind of a hassle though. You have to plug the G5 Transmitter in via USB, then run another cord from the back of the...

RE: Air Hogs!

Those same companies also offer replacement gear for them too. Air hogs don't. If it breaks, it's back to the store for another!

RE: EDGE 540

Aeroworks Edge 540t .46-.61 would be a good fit. I own this plane, and I love it. It is a very nice ARF.

RE: Are these mufflers the same?

One states that it doesn't fit the Thunder Tiger .42, but the other one does. Not sure what the difference between them are, but it sounds like there is a difference.

RE: up dated batts from 4.8 to 6.0 now have a problem

So, is the problem only (or mostly seen only) with the 3004's? I use more 3003's than 3004's, and haven't had any issues at all with the 3003's.

RE: up dated batts from 4.8 to 6.0 now have a problem

I had two servos go out in the same way as you describe. Both were in the rudder, and both were 3004's. Weird. I have since replaced the rudder with a 3010. I figured I was putting too much...

RE: Question about Voltwatch

The Voltmagic isn't a far better product, it is a totally different product all together. I for one don't have a $2500 plane, so paying $40 for Volymagic doesnt seem like a value to me. If I did...

RE: Question about Voltwatch

I have a voltmeter, and the battery checks out to be good (it is a brand new 1100mah 6v). I also have another voltwatch on another plane, and it doesn't do what the Edge is doing. The biggest...

Question about Voltwatch

I have a voltwatch installed on my Edge. and when I move the control surfaces, 3 or 4 of the voltwatch lights will light up. I have tried unplugging servos, and by-passing everything, and it is the...

RE: I finally figured it out (with help of course)!

From what he stated, these slivers will pass through the filter. I have always had a fuel filter on my fuel jug. The issue I had was big enough to have me think that the engine was garbage. What...

RE: I finally figured it out (with help of course)!

He stated that the debris comes from the gallon nitro containers. I have heard about the fuel tanks, but never the fuel jug itself. I will be in there soon, I am sure, so I will tell him!
