RE: Tribute 36 by Hangar 9, anyone?

Yeah try that 11X4. depending on what .40 you have you might be able to get away even with a 11.5X4 APC. Since my .40 is over 20 years old (new when i got it-about a year ago) it doesn't really have...

RE: Tribute 36 by Hangar 9, anyone?

11X4 APC. Running byrons 20/20 fuel to get decent performance (i.e. good hover pullout). Will eventually try a Xoar and/or vess 11X4. Seems like the best prop. If the .40 could handle it though i...

RE: Great Planes 27% Cap 232 - OS 160 or Gas ?

Bubbagates,

By looking at the picture you posted in an earlier post, it looks like the servo arm isn't pointing towards the ground, and the linkage seems to work out fine?

RE: Great Planes 27% Cap 232 - OS 160 or Gas ?

bubbagates,<div>if you don't mind, can you post a couple of pics showing how the aileron and rudder linkages are suppose to be at neutral. I don't quite understand how they will align when the...

RE: Great Planes 27% Cap 232 - OS 160 or Gas ?

Hey Bubbagates, <div>
I'm working on the linkages on my cap right now and i was wondering how you went about aligning the aileron control horns. I'm using 1.5" SWB arms all around and when i make a...

bubbagates,<div>
</div><div>i just bought this plane (moving up from 60 sized 3D planes). I'm running Hitec 5945 everywhere, but a 5985 on the rudder and SWB arms all around. Using a JR ds821 on...

i'm having a problem with mine. I just replaced the clutch show and what seems to be happening is that as i rev up the engine, it will start to move, and then suddenly the engine will overrev. It is...

RE: Hangar 9 extra 260 27% what engine

Mason,

Sorry if i got the landing gear thing mixed up.

Not to start an argument here, but carbon fiber gears, should last more than 11 flights. Delaminate or not. the last time i checked,...

Fox 2.4 (40cc) great engine for this plane. Not the power of the DA ,but you have less than 1200 inch wing area. Ita a real good set up for the plane.......I love it. OH...

RE: Hangar 9 Extra 260 27% Servos

I would use something like the Hitec HS-5645mg. Since the airplane is slightly lighter than similar sized airplanes using a 162 inch ounces of torque on the elevator and aileron is ok. On the rudder...

RE: Hangar 9 Extra 260 27% Expo/radio set up

On my Hangar 9 tribute, i actually use almost 60% on my rudder on high rates. On my elevator i think i'm running 45% on3D rates and for my ailerons i'm using 55% on 3D rates. <div>

RE: easiest way to get into 3d flying

How in the world did you get the tribute to hover with the .36 at 4.5 lbs. I put in an OS .40 SF and the airplane won't even climb vertical. Used hs-311 on throttle and S3003 everywhere else. They...

RE: Anyone have a Tribute 36 and a 40La combo?

Unless you lighten the airplane a lot, the 40LA won't even climb the airplane vertically. I put a .40SF in the tribute and didn't do any mods. It with a 10X5 APC it still doesn't climb vertically. If...

RE: Tribute .36

If you are looking for 3D, i wouldn't put the Saito 56. I would save that engine for a warbird. Something like an OS 46AX or a Evo .52 is the correct size engine. <div>
</div><div>If it just pattern...

RE: Tribute 36 PNP Spinner

With the Evo .36 what is weight of your tribute. I put an OS .40Sf, which apparently is lighter than the Evo .36 (very slightly tail heavy) and used all standard futaba S3003 servo on all control...

RE: Hangar9 Tribute 36 arf

You will definitely be happy with the TT .46. From experience, the magnums don't have that great of a throttle response. If you plan on doing slow flight or 3D you want a very good throttle response....

RE: Hangar9 Tribute 36 arf

Hibrass,

try a Zinger 11X4. I heard it is also a pretty good prop. Plus, it being wood, it allows the engine to spool up a little bit faster than the APC, which is good for doing hovers and...
