To begin, my usual disclaimer for all thingymagigs goes...

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro

The forward hole has been enlarged vertically (slotted?) thereby allowing the bolt to move up or down (via the adjuster at the rear). The bolt is then tightened down in order to clamp or hold the...

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro

Arch,

>It eliminated all of the pull to the canopy

Would you just clarify if you mean pull to the canopy in knife edge or pull to the canopy in a downline?

Then, with the additional...

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro

Shirley there must be a golden rule in there somewhere:- if one installs wing adjusters during the building phase then the wing incidence will never need adjusting. Or, if adjusters aren’t...

RE: Battery Configurations

What about 6S+4S ? ...The 6S sized packs can also be used in the smaller "mini-me" aka "50e" sized planes.

Plus, last time I checked several months ago, the 25C Rhino packs (4900mah) were...

RE: Sickle (V-2)

Hi All,

Re the type of latches on the Wind S Pro, I think the common(?) name (at least on the net) is "belly locks"

Some links for reference,

RE: Which Battery Charger to buy

Hi Pete,

Great to hear you’re returning to pattern again.

Any of the chargers mentioned above are good options. I would like to also add the Hyperion DUO III in there as well. ...It’s...

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro

Hi Greg,

The 25C packs weigh less than the 20C packs and so that's the main difference :) In regards to flying, can’t really perceive any difference. Although maybe I should mention the age...

Danie,

A firewall template for the Wind 2m and Plett combo, if it helps.

RE: Wind S Pro problems

Ney,

I’m assuming you mean how much elevator throw? Well, actually I never measured it with any kind of angle tool. Rather I set it by eye (...that looks about right), then flew the plane...

RE: Wind S Pro problems

Woodie,

My motor is at -0.3 deg (down thrust). ...That's with the spinner aligned to the nose. (...And +1 deg in the wings, 0 in the h-stab)

RE: Wind S Pro problems

Ney,

Are you running any elevator trim, and what is your wing incidence (assuming the horizontal stab is at 0 degrees)? If you have some elevator trim then it could be affecting the plane in...

huison2005,
Don’t have a real methodical answer for you other than (in jest) use the Mk1 eyeball :-)

A) Sit the plane on the bench and then raise the tail until it looks about right and then...

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro

Luis,

I thought the supplied hinges were a little sloppy and so fully changed over to Robarts. This wasn't entirely straightforward as the Robarts are fractionally larger than the ones that...

RE: Pressurized tanks (YS powered), precautions?

A couple of suggestions,

1) On any fuel tubes and fittings (from tank or engine) put another piece of fuel tubing over the fuel tubing that connects to the fuel tube/fitting.

2) A...

RE: Elevator throw adjustments using MK bellcrank

Another little trap I've experienced with the MK unit is that tightening up the long bolt used to join the unit together can cause the arms to rotate by a small amount. Or perhaps one arm stays put,...

Using a syringe I squirted water...

RE: 18x10 prop????????

hi,

I've tried both APC 18x10PN and 17x12 (wide) on the YS160Dz, fitted into an Impact and also Hydeout.

The most noticeable difference is the 18x10PN significantly slowed the speed of the...
