Nice place but where are all the tools? Band saw, vise, hand tools, small table saw, dust, wood shavings on the froor, balsa dust on the bench and floor. It's just to clean ;).

After close inspection, I have come to the conclusion that you are a faithful, dedicated, and well respected flyer!! You have a really nice shop and REALLY really nice collection of planes. Thank-You for sharing your beautiful shop with us. Your shop is POSTER worthy! All shops posted in this thread(clean or dirty) are nice, but, I would like to know who cleans your show shop for you???:D I need a new maid!

Well Thank you Guys. Just a little back ground info. I am the proud Father to 3 young boys 8,5, and 2. and a fourth on the way. A baby girl. I have a very beautiful wife who enjoys the hobby and of seeing the time I get to spend with my sons flying planes. We fly out back on a runway we installed last year. As for my shop, You should see it after my sons finish a weekend of doing what they do best. The tools have their own space, LOL. It was a dream to build a new shop, but with just a little paint, you can turn an ordinary shop into a flying field from the past. I enjoy WWII history and the planes of that era. I feel very fortunate to have found the joys of RC Areomodeling with my sons. Take Care Capt. Winters

Captain, you should feel proud to have your sons involved so you can all enjoy building and flying together! To many kids today are committed to TV and video games. They have no interest in what Dad is doing. Count me one of those Dad's. You are blessed.

Capt Winters:
OK, now I know what RC shops will look like in heaven. AND you have a runway in your backyard??? YOU 'DA MAN!!

I also have two boys, 7 & 4, that I've been introducing to this hobby. They love hanging out with me in my shop working on a project, and when the weather finally gets better, flying off the buddy box at the field. It's my dream to have both boys (and maybe their little sister!) interested enough in the hobby that it becomes a life-long activity we can enjoy together.

I haven't got the bride to take the sticks yet, but that will happen this summer :D

Well I don't know where to start, but thank you all. Smooth Spanky, your kids will have a blast, with RC and you, I had my oldest on a buddybox when he was 4. We are still doing the box as I had to take a year off of flying to build my house. The runway is 450x80 feet with a 150 ft, run -off at one end. I planted Burmuda grass, the kind they use on golf courses. I will take and post some pics this week-end. We live on 20 acres and there is 500 acres hehind my property that is set aside for conservation, so we have room to make mistakes sometimes while flying. Take care Capt. Winters

Hello Propnut, When did you live in Chico? I live about 7 miles north of the airport as the crow flys. Do you ever make it back to Chico? Here are some pics of the runway. Take care Capt. Winters

I moved a year and a half ago and only have a temporary set-up but am hopefully going to add on to my garage this summer. I have two small rooms in my basement....one is a building area and the other mainly kit storage. The garage stores most of my planes and also has a small work-shop on the end. I realize that I have more room than many but I NEED MORE SPACE.....I have a vision....lol. Hopefully this year.....

NOW.....if I could only make a beautifully flat runway appear.... or maybe get an invite to go live with Capt. Winters...lol.....NICE.....

WOOOW no trees! I couldn't fly at this field. I've lost the excuse about the tree that jumped out and grabbed my plane.
