Kane,
Pearly white looks like a drab light grey under artificial light...looks better outside under natural light, except on a dull day like most non-summer days, when it looks like a drab light grey, kind of the same colour as the sky...... oh well... i'm a bit committed now!!!
Regards,
Steve

I use the DB sport and scale wing retainers. Works very well.

I knocked up a radius tool, to ensure a uniform radius along the length of the fuselage underside...
made from ply, sandpaper, copydexed on. used cowl as template for radius.
Insulation tape stops corners digging in .
Taped in some 1200 over the top of the coarse stuff for a final sand...
Worked a treat!

Kane,
The only reason I used Solartex over the holes is that very light glass cloth doesn't take up resin too well over open spaces, and I ended up with blobs of resin rather than a neatly filled weave!
The bloke who built yours is obviously a practiced master and managed to glass the box and cover the holes in one go!
I had a disaster last night....
Bottom covered, great, all ok...
Added a Fuselage side piece, looked good apart from a tiny grain of dust under the film. In trying to relift the film i introduced a crease I could not get rid of... removed all film, which lifted all filler, spent rest of evening removing glue deposits, and getting a sanded finish back to a point when I can cover it again!!!
should have lived with it....
Regards,
Steve

If it works leave it.
Angus
ps all mine are two vent tanks (L and DZ's) but in my Synergy (DZ) its got a header to ensure no bubbles get in and its got a foam clunk in the main tank. In the Capiche (DZ) its just got a foam clunk and no header and its been 99% ok.
