Sounds like we may have a chance to fly together this coming year. We are going to have three nice events for 2004.
One being a Heli event early in the season.
Another being a Night Fly in July that starts early in the day and finally a Imaa Mini fest the first of September. We are hearing rumbles that this could be a great showing!!!

turtle decks sheeted and ready to install
you build the bottom of the fuse, motor and gear mounts and set up for alignment
this is for our competition customers that don't want an arf with our paint scheme on it and that want to ensure it is built to there standards.
the 34 is 103 span 98 long 100 cc for 3d and imac

On a whim I "pre-ordered" one of these. I know the outrageous costs in getting one to Belgium...if I want to play I have to pay, right? Anyway, a week has gone by and no confirmation (yes, I submited my correect e-mail), and no phone number on the website. Any ideas from anybody? I would like to have one of these for the next season (2005) as I am a 3D bipe fanatic and do love the look of the huge hybrid.
What is the best way of getting one into Belgium? I would love a cheap magnificent airplane that builds in a week!!!

Don't hold your breath Mark. We pre ordered one in early Jan and followed up that e-mail a couple more times and still haven't even had the courtesy of a reply. In the end we decided on the 2m span Capiche 140, but it's kit build not an ARTF so a bit more work to do. But I have to say what a nice model it's turning out to be
Good luck, hope Chip replies to you but don't bet on it, I reckon he's got so many domestic orders the overseas one's get filed in the bin.

I put my name on one in the fall and did get a reply back but I have been concerned with the ability to find out the status of my order. I have also sent emails back with no response but was happy to get some reply on the status of the shipment of plans which is mentioned in this thread.

My buddy is on the waiting list for a Double Vision. He lives about 30 miles from your shop. When the plane comes in, would it make sense for him to drive over and pick it up rather than have you ship it? If so, I'll have him contact you.

First of all for all you people talking about order confirmations the web page never said you would get one!
We have the orders and you will all be contacted in the next few weeks by email or phone to tell you better when the container with the 300 plus planes will arrive here ( approx mid to late april) and ask you for payment arrangements so that
we can ship all of them within the first week after arrival. This is what we did with the cap x and gee bees. If you are worried about if you are on the list or wish to add more orders or cancel one, contact myself (Don Kanak) or my wife (Carla) at [email protected] or call 630-904-9983 8-3 cst mon to friday or my portable 630-768-2878 and if you get voicemail LEAVE A MESSAGE!

Trust me there are no orders being thrown in the bin! We have many new products and have been working hard on getting dealers and distribution in foriegn markets! For the time being we are able to and have for 12 years shipped aircarft and engines worldwide. If you need to cancel your order please email me as i want to keep the list as accurate as possible.

Well I hardly think it's slanderous Captain 232 to state that I sent an e-mail pre ordering a DV and then twice chased up asking if my e-mail had been received and I've still not had the courtesy of a reply. How is that slanderous?

Guys i am going to echo the moderators comments. I have dealt with Don a lot over the past year and I love his enthusiasm towards fellow modelers. For those of you that have not gotten and e-mail response, just pick up the phone and give him or his wife Carla a call. They are always willing to talk to fellow modelers and non-modelers. Remember this hobby is suppose to be "FUN"

All good advice rgreen24, but it's only through this thread here that I've ever heard of Don Kanak. You ever looked at the website, www.chiphyde.com? Show me where a phone number or an address is? And looking just now it seems he's even note taken his e-mail address off now.
And bearing in mind I'm in the UK and Mark's in Belgium, you think it's reasonable that we should have to make international phone calls to find out if our orders have been received?

Guys, All I can tell you is from experience that Don and Karla are class A people, I would be happy to spend my money with them because I know if there is a problem, they will fix it right away!! However this is my experience alone, but I have heard from other that are great to work with also. Their e-mail address is [email protected] Give them an e-mail, and I am sure they will get back to you. My guess is that they are going to be on the road a lot promoting all the new products, for us modelors to enjoy, so I would just say be patient, and they wil e-mail you back.
