hello,

i've got mine from tower, beautiful plane and great planes did a great job, i 'm watching glow now, os 200 FS could be a nice engine i think with 10% nitro ( 12 lbs dry)? do you think thrust would good ? i've seen information here on os 200 but there is not a lot, so...

thank you

I would prefer glow however you burn through that expensive gas very fast. I do a 10 minute flight and have 2/3 a tank left

A 170 DZ on this Cap would be awesome. I know the DA's are good for gassers. I still have that OS 160 I am great full for.

DON'T FORGET THE SMOKE!!!!.......LOL

H9 have awesome colors, and loaded with features of plug-in wings. However, H9 CAP is a lot heavier plane, so for 3D GP CAP hands down the way to go, but if you do more conventional flying, then [sm=punching.gif]K.O. color works of Peter Goldsmith in H9 CAP is hard to resist. Yet, another icing on the cake for GP CAP is the parts prices, I´m not sure if anyone noticed it, but parts price for giant scale GP CAP comes in a size 40 model $ package . Got a engine cowl choping enxiety(some cowls of 50cc is $50-80), GP cowl sells for $25, so chop it all you want.

I wouldn't trade my GP Cap for any other one. While tuning the engine on Sunday my prop broke at about 8000 rpm. The vibration before I could shut it down was scary. Now that I've gone through it completely not one glue joint came loose, not one piece of wood cracked. Broke a gear in my elevator servo too. I was really impressed that nothing came loose as far as glue joints go. Gonna try a 16X10 3 blade for a flight or two and compare it to the 17X13 2 blade. Anyone know how a 3 blade works on the Cap? Anyone try em up there in Washington Al? By the way the one day no one brings the video camera I got a beautiful upright flat spin back through my smoke trail.

Most likely just sports flying although i haven't seen one in action before. You are going to have 28% less displacement than the DL/DA powered planes (GREAT for 3d BTW) and it is a 4c so you are going to loose power there. Expect 35-40% less power than a 50cc.

Mark,

Beautiful engine though! Probably better on a model with a 68-72" wing span. A 72" Aeroworks Yak 54 for example!

Cheers, David.

P.S. My CAP is standing un-boxed waiting for gear... unfortunately, won't fly until next spring though...[]

AJ,

I would love you hear how your Brisson works in this bird... I have a Brisson 2.4 just begging for a new home also.. :-) It was in my 80 inch Midwest Cap and flew very well at 14.5lbs. If you could get it all up at less than 14lbs it should fly and 3D pretty well.. But lite weight would be the key...!

Good Luck,

I got this engine on a CMP Extra 300 , the plane was a rock with wings. I won't be able to work on it for a little bit , I need to clean the basement and get some other planes done. I have a Patty Wagstaff that I'm changing things around on. It has a Moki 2.10 but the servo's are to weak for my liking. I'm changing it over to Hitec HS 5625Mg in the wings and elevator , and a 5955TG on the rudder. should work out pretty well. The one thing I noticed with the Cap is the prop hub needs to be at 7.25" and the Brison is 5"from front to back , need a little bit of a spacer.

Hibrass,

What size prop did you run on your Brisson ? Things things are pricy , hate to waste money.

Good Luck,

Im looking to buy the GP cap 232 but I dont know which engine to buy, I like the gas power for convenience and lack of oily clean up, but I also like the lightness and performance of the glow motors.
Whats everybodys opinion on this subject ?

Thanks,
Chris
