I've got some 3010s on the way also.
i thought my Capiche was acting very tail heavy, snapping easily and it didn't want to harrier, moving the ailerons back to center ( just one notch on the flap knob! ) helped loads but harriers weren't nose high flying like on Carters, mine was either trying to climb, or snap out of it.
the really strange thing is that I've now got a servo inside not up the rear.

with the 3010's I've heard Hydrides arn't a good idea, voltage drop on high draw i spose.. so with extra nose weight needed ( maybe i should check where my balance is lol ) should i make up a 6 cell pack, hydride or no, or even a sub-c pack!

can't wait to have proper servos in it and see it respond to what i tell it[8D]

Nice scheme rc flyer!

Yep well, thanks for the encouragment, I'll extend the sheeting upwards and tidy it up, i need some more wood for bits etc but don't worry! Im sticking to the plan!

I think I will go for MDF, but I need a big table now, kitchen one too small and the plastic thingy my parents bought is not straight.

I think my Mirage will pack it in, no more foamies for me!!!

Keep crashing.....errrr flying everyone!

Man that scheme is better than mine, I might do that with different colors!

Btw Ian, I spent £30 on Profilm well my dad did at Pete Tindals, Mr Tindal was very nice, I purchased offcuts.

I had 3 rolls of profilm eddy, 1 of each colour.Had loads left over so depending on your scheme then 2 should be ample.
Rcflyer,, nice looking plane and nice looking field!

I got crap loads of white profilm, some yellow, some red, some blue. I meant to get orange for the scheme but the orange Pete Tindal had blended with the yellow too much. So I sill use what I have to do something like what Rc Flyer has done, just a simple scheme.

As Jimbo says, two rolls or 4 metres should be fine, depending on the scheme.

well, heres my scheme. tesco value felt tips dont last to long. so the pinky stuff is gonna be a red and the light blue is to be a real deep blue. the yellow will be a darker one. the tail is supposed to be blue, the one on the left if looking from the top was and experiment

im thinkin a roll of each main colour, then a bit of offcuts for the cheques. im hoping not to spend too much, at most 50 quid[&:][:@] ill prob get somebody else to cover it, im not up to doing this sort of thing yet! im thinking the wing should be all red, apart from the tips, then cut and add the other colourts, will this be too heavy. im also thinking of those black outlines, possibly MT trimline? or is it easy enough to cut those sort of things, or should i leve it off all together?

I am having real trouble sheetying the rear fuz, I can't get the first bit glured down let alone the parts I need glued to the formers! I am going to the LHS tomorrow, oh wait! Sunday! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! Ok its frustrating the cyano just won't hold the sheet when I try to glue it. It bend fine, I soak it etc etc

Ah well, I'll buy some more 1/16 and try again

Sahid
Try some laccy bands. thats what i used. I cut the sheeting to shape leaving 1/4 inch onver hang. stuck the bottom of the sheeting to the fuz. Then soaked the balsa with water bent it to shape and put the laccy bands on. left for half hour to dry then just ran glue along the former etc. Once all dry sand/plane to finnish.

Thanks Bob, yeah I think it will help if the balsa drys roughly the shape of the curve, I'll try that, though my balsa doesnt sit properly because of all the attempts I've made the fuz side is now rough so some sanding may be needed.

Anyway I'll try that thanks.

After the sheeting Its the tail blocks but I tryed my razor plane and its crap! Or that may just be me. Its a Zona razorplane they didn't have those David combi ones...

balsa doesnt plane very well when compared to harder woodstry altering the blade angle or sharpening it.

That looks more like poor quality metal and machining than having been run [:'(].

what about the bushing? even if the sizes are wrong why is there lots one side, not so much the other.
the metal surface wasn't just discoloured, it was corroded

Philly;

this is not the place..

take up your complaint with the supplier / manufacturer..

I am a firm believer in giving them a chance to explain / rectify before public airing.....

If it was your product would you not like at least one chance before it hit the front pages !?

'rc hows the engine i hope your running it in'
Surrey: As you know running in was finished off on Saturday whilst doing blenders! Dont remember seeing that in the instructions?

Shahid: 'I am having real trouble sheetying the rear fuz'.
Are you using a decent cyano? We just cut to rough size, tacked the bottom edge then pulled round by hand and bled thin cyano along where needed from inside. I have found in the past that cheap/stored badly cyano doesnt like sticking to light ply.
