i just started building mine.
i am a cheapscate so i am fretting the formers and sides myself!!
very impressive at sandown, especially with cplr stirring the sticks,
what happened to the two that got broken, one looked like the tailplane let go and the other the wing pulled off!?

we have weird pilots.
come down here and pick your own, we have MDS trees, but they tend to rot, SC, Magnum and ASP trees, they all look the same, theres even West 50 trees! but the roots are much deeper.
have a look at the spec charts on the website http://www.flycapiche.co.uk/
46 sounds ok.
you know, when i get my Capiche, i'll have my bigest engine ever, my bigest plane ever, my most expensive servos ever, hell, its my most expensive plane ever! to make me spend that kinda money it must be worth it.

the car info in in RCU's crash forum
the loop, well, Derek ( who will fix helis with rubber from car boots! ) set up his heli with "expert" advice, throttle hold wasnt part of it, i'm sure hes not the pilot, he follows the heli around until it follows him, we encouraged him to try a loop, the engine died at the top, the heil at the bottom.

the car is a photo off this forum from america but the 270 degree loop was beautifully performed by our very own derek 'barney bodger' medlyn. hes a very dangerous heli pilot, last week he climbed under his heli to pull the fuel tube off the carb, the engine would not shut down and he couldnt lower the idle enough to stop the blades spinning

heres a pic of the man himself barney bodger showing off his abomination of a jetranger.i have looked inside this and it is not a pretty sight, there are 2 servos jubilee clipped together and he doesnt believe in foam around the receiver, it is taped to the side frame. he runs his aerial down an aluminium tube, common sense is not in this mans dictionary! we grounded this model after the pic was taken , unfit to fly

You guys are just mad. :bananahea Believe me when the rudder servo failed on my Wot4 the debris field was immense, and I had to go mining for the engine.....
Anyways, good display of the Capiche, started making mine today, glad I got the CNC and wood pack, makes life alot easier! I'm going digitals on Rudder and Ele, Coreless on Aileron, I think it'll be worthwhile....might start a building thread in a bit too?

Whats this 'Capiche' thingy? Please, keep it on topic. So what other helis did this guy crash???

i would love a Capiche, but too many models waiting to get finnished means I can't spend the money on her.....

i like the idea of a building thread, i am going to do a review of the model for the club website and for phils website.
derek the heli guy has a lot of helis, none are reliable though, we try to give him advice but he just tells us where to shove it, hes been doing it longer than me etc etc (he is 60, i am 17) he doesnt listen to anyone.
fact is we are only keeping him in the club because we have a bit of control over him, he would be very dangerous as a 'loose cannon' flying anywhere he likes.he likes to fly over crowds of people.
i remember one time he was telling a clubmate about the fantastic autorotation he did last week, well what he actually did was- as soon as the engine cut he put in full collective! the blades stopped dead in the air and it tumbled down!
he often makes bits and pieces for his helis, hes made blade holders- that let go and leave a .60 size blade hurtling through the air.
another time there was a problem with his ergo 60 (surprise!) and he ended up grabbing it by the boom while it was on the ground and it went out of control it was going all over the place and he was hanging on by the boom!
