Hmm, some fantastic schemes there.
Anyway, the good news is my Capiche has been repaired, and it ready to fly again
. May get it up tomorrow, forecast is not too bad, but coooold. Must remember to dig out my scarf. I am on duty at the field tomorrow, but doubt many people will turn up so probably wont have to freeze for too long.

One flight
I managed one flight and it is back on the building board[:@]
Deadsticked, overshot the strip, landed in the rough, and it pulled the landing gear plate out.[
] So much for the nylon bolts[&o]
Still fairly clean break, should not take long to repair.[&:]
Still it went pretty well in that one flight. Was far less aftected by the wind compared to my GP Cap, and especially compared to the Acrowot that was there at the field.
Didn't fly much, but Kevin (3drcheli) did some very nice flying with his Midwest Cap (once the big Moki decided to fire up). I just love his knife edge spins.

Hi
Like the pink C50. very nice.......
Im thinking of metallic purple (like the one on the cougar) C50 myself. I dont think a clear coloured c50 would look a nice tho.
I think the funfly wing is actually at a very reasonable price archie. And even more reasonable if you add M3 ball links etc. When will you be getting the C50 back in stock???
Anyway. I was flying my Cougar yesterday. Bit of a mess. I went to prophang and the engine didnt pick up until i hit the ground. Shot of at full power as the throttle servos beams were ripped out. It took off and at about 2 feet i pushed a bit of down to get it on the floor again. The Wing is a mess tho[
]. Fixable but bl**dy annoying

Folks the website is on the change...
Take a look around and let me know if you spot any "deliberate" mistakes...
Just been trying the movies out... seem okay.
Just got to get the material of my C50 off tape and onto the pc now !

New site looks great[8D]
Archie when will you have the prices in for the 140ex?
I might just have to start saving
Otherwise I could get a better job
Really like phillys first scheme (red-yellow-black)
Might change my mind about my one.

truncated descriptions on pics... know about that major headache... not likely to be sorted for a bit.
Capiche Appearances... working on that.
Fun Fly - should be there now.
PDF file... being actionned.
Home page. been done just to be uploaded by the webmaster !
Virtually ALL the pages are being tweaked in one way or another.
C140 prices... well you get a taster with some of the ocmponents on the price list. Those that pre ordered will get first notice of cost... Hopefully the final elements of the "Costing" thing will be sorted by Xmas...

I know about the truncation on the pictures text... mentioned above.
Cuban... that problem is new.... I will refer it to webmaster, in the meantime you can get to the Build It Gallery via the C50 galleries rather than via the link on the build it pages.
The pics are there for additional info really, if you have the plan and instructions and cnc part diagram you should be fine with your scalpel !!
cheers

'cuban, give me a ring or just pop round if you get stuck, ive built 3 off them as you know only meant to do two but never mind'
Thanks for the offer. we'll be round just before lunch on Christmas morning! Tom is building this one with a bit of assistance, his first 'real' kit. Started it yesterday afternoon and the fus design is amazing. I know everyone's being saying it just slots together like a jigsaw but until you do it the initial pile of bits laying on the plan looks as daunting as any other kit. Then you start slotting and it falls into place. I had to take it all to pieces and do it again myself after Tom showed me just for the fun of it! Truly clever.

For those that like a challenge we could sell the fuz bits without a plan or instructions !

Mind you we have stated it is a 3D jigsaw puzzle.... glad you like it... you cant imagine the work and re work that went into that and its always pleasing to hear back impartial feedback that makes it all worth while.... the whole ethic (apart from lightness and strength etc) was to make a kit easy to build so that there truly is more choice than ARTF.

Hey folks.... Im looking at spending a bit of money on my C50e !
It goes well but it flies just like a normal plane having to carry the weight of the battery (about 1kg !). When you have flown the IC one and know what it can do then flying the elec one with this set up is not so appealing - its about a pound heavier.
So... Im looking at following the Boy and going Li Poly. Not cheap but at least I will get some more service out the model...
Any Li Poly experts out there got any suggestions ?
So far it looks like a choice between 50 x 340s - 5S10P which is the pricey option at about $592 or 12 x 1500s 6S2P for $167, slightly less capacity but and extra volt. Each of these choices gives a weight of approx 15-16oz. which is the max weight I want to have for the pack... that should take about 16-18 oz OFF the weight of the flight ready model which will put it right into the same zone as my YS powered one.
