Just got a couple of Futaba 3010s for my Capiche ailerons only £22 each!Thats cheaper than the HS 225s.
if anyone has trouble getting them in the Surrey area, Mick Charles Models have them in stock.

Just wanted to say Im building a Graupner G202 which is a great kit - ARTF - but the span is 3-4" less than Capiche 40 and the area is less I thin by appearance... and the wing is 655 grams with servos but without wing bolts (nylon) and belly pan so you can add a few grams for that.

That equals 23.1oz plus the other parts.

The kit feels nice and light but clearly your kit with a home build and the materials you supply is lighter which perhaps proves why you dont like the idea of artf !?

The tail surfaces are a good size and although they are pre hinges there is good throw but calculating the AUW I think it will be around 6-6.5lbs which is not so good as Capiche 50.

It is true you have a good light plane

What a Diference those Futaba 3010s made! Centering over the Hitec mighty minis is far superior, and the aileron corrections for high Alpha kinife edge are much less of a struggle.
The servos are £4 cheaper too.

Well there you go !

Professa. thanks for your observations. I have one of those kits too. Inever expected it to be as light as the Capiche but hopefully it will not be as heady as 6.5lbs !

I have built a Graupner 202, and it weighs just over 6 lbs with an Irvine 61 turning an APC 12x7. 3D performance is not as good as my Capiche 50, but it does fly pattern style aerobatics really well. Saying that, it has plenty enough power to prophang and torque-roll, but is much 'snappier' when using lots of elevator. It also has a very high landing speed when compared to the Capiche, which can almost be floated down.

ah, your Phil V.. yes i've been touching you up
and even better, Graham i can keep it C50 bassed...
First we remove your graphics, then add on some other trims..
first one nicked form the graphics comp
then my FedEx one
and i even considered a torn wing look exposing the CF below.

my 3 views are good for the ideas, but you gotta play with a photo to get the feel for the look

Baron,

Its finished but unflown. I've been really busy these last 3 of 4 months and whenever I get chance to fly the weather is pants!!

Paul's on the other hand is wicked. He's had a mess about with C of G and set it up nicely.

I flew it briefly a couple of weeks ago, the 91fx just makes it unbelievable, havin all that power is just priceless.

Your gonna ask me now where the C of G is aren't ya??? No idea, it just works.
