Barry,
Let me explain about something. It's called "doing a wall" but you don't have to actually HIT a wall, just make the plane look like its going up one!
Ouch what happened?

Stcrash,
I was very lucky I got the Magnum NIB on ebay for $150.00. The guy had about 4 of them and I could do the buy it now for the $150.00 The funny thing is that the next day after I had bought mine, he jacked his prices to $225.00 buy it now. I am pretty darn impressed with the Magnum thus far, it is a very nice motor without having to pay for the OS or Saito name. Saved a ton.
Barry,
That really sucks man, I'm sorry your plane went in. I hope you can put it back together. Good luck.[

yeah i was really psyched to find one with a buy it now for 125, luckily i didnt jump on it. I would have been really bumbed to find out its a 91 2 ST. I have an Evolution 1.00 2 St to put on a plane so I dont have much need for a 91 2ST. I think for 150 its still a really good prices and I will be keeping my eye out.

It's taken me a day or two to recover. Man, it makes me so mad to lose one of these planes. I was just a landing. A strong wind had come up and I was into it. I was about two feet off the ground when the wind caught the right wing tip and blew it up. The left tip caught the ground and it kinda spin in. It didn't even break the prop or do any damage except break right into. These planes are made so light (not a complaint, that's why I buy them) but just the least little side impact and you have two planes. I was lovin' this plane so much. I had done the best rising flat spins with it. It was so easy to fly and fun, fun, fun. I think I could fix it, but I'm not sure if I could keep the fuse straight. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. It has been 75 flights since my last incident. (UCD60) I repaired that one, not to bad. This one is worse. It's days like this that make me just want to quit completely. Last time I took a month off. This time I don't know... Anyways, that's the story. Thanks for all the concern guys. I really do feel like I have friends here.
Thanks,
Barry

Well Barry, It wasn't your fault. It sounds like there wasn't anything you could do to save it and it sounds like the part of the country where you fly there is a lot of wind at times. I sure hope you don't give it up. We all really enjoy your friendship and input.....[8D]

No way we will let you give it up Barry!!
I think we all get that feeling when we lose a plane we like. You get bumbed and feel like you are looking into a deep money pit. Then you get your new plane and those crazy jimmy legs when you pull onto the runway for you maiden, and bamn, your right back in it. Besides if you can do rising flat spins...
Well I wont get to fly this weekend, I am going to Cape Cod for a little R and R. No kids for 4 days and 3 nights. I gues that is worth missing my flying day. I will just have to take a long lunch on Tuesday and get some flights in. Hope you all have fun flying this weekend.

gjeffers,
Nice job on getting that to fit, did you need a shoe horn?
This is holding up well, I hope that it takes the vibration. I check it frequently and so far so good.
I am off all next week, I want to see how much fuel I can run through, that is if we manage to have a day with less than gail force winds.
Barry, I feel the pain, when my P-40 went in, it took some time to get back into things, give it time.

Am sad for UCD. Am anxious for Showtime. I'm told it will ship Monday, although apparently some people already have theirs. I don't see how. I've had mine on order since I first saw them. Maybe two month?!?! Anyways, I'm not willing to give up just yet. But I need a 40 airplane bad. When I fly at lunch hour I need something small enough to easily fit in my pick up. The 90 planes don't do that very well, at least in the cab. So I ask...5th UCD or Harrirer46?thanks

I don't want to be a traitor either, and I don't know how I could leave this thread. Maybe I could sew a prop for up front and put UCD covering on it and nobody would notice. Maybe. Thanks,
Barry
