patnjimtucker...Congrats...Wow, I don't know how you stood it so long to do the maiden flights. But I'm glad you finally got that girl in the air. You'll love it even more as you get used to it. Just remember, no fast flying and to land very softly.
On the CG, there is an adendum to the manual which gives a window of 4-6 inches for the CG. It frankly works pretty good anywheres in that area. I settled on mine at 5 3/4". It still lands very easy and is way better on flat spins and hovering etc. If I were you I'd go right to 5.5" and then if you desire you could even more it back a bit from there.
On the throws, I set it up for all I can get. I use dual rates to calm it down for regular flying and landing but for hovers, flat spins, waterfalls, etc. you need all the throw you can possible get.
Congratulations again and I hope you enjoy your Do as much as I have mine.
Thanks
Barry

I will probably try to land the Super Star the same as the UCD and bury it in the asphalt after all these slow landings.

i just put 4 flight on my super and it was great, i was nervous as usual but pulled it off without a hitch(or scratch
) just bring it in a little hot(compared to the ucds) and she will just melt into the runway, lands nice!!just setup as instructed and you will be amazed as i was....flys great
the best deal i have had yet!!

I must have been reading a cached copy of the thread or I am a really slow typer. Started the post before maiden and finished after 6 flights.
The thought remains the same. Congrats Gary!

Gary,
It can't wait to hear a flight report on the Super Star. Mine moved a little closer to the build bench but it looks like I will be moving in a month or so. I either have to build fast or wait until after the move.
I've got the Do on charge for tomorrow. The weather here is great! Light wind and High temp is 71 for tomorrow. I'll have to fly the wings off the Do all day long.
Tear up the sky with the Super Star Gary!

patnjimtucker, You're gonna have lots of fun with this plane. It's simply a blast to fly. I'm on my third one (crashed the first, sold the second one) and love to take it to the field more than most of the other planes I've flown.

Hi guys!
I just recoverd a ucando .46 which for the most is in good shape. No electronics or engine came with it. I have a super tigre .75 but I am not sure if it is going to be and over or under kill. as far as servos can I uso the standard servos or should I use torque? The previous owner did an oufull fix on the LG section and I need some suggestions on how to get it fixed. (My first garbage can fix)

Hi cjposada... Standard servos of 50#/oz will work good, I'm running HS 425BB's on 6v, I
do have a stronger one on the rudder... Kinda hard to tell if the bulsa is fuel soaked?? if
so you may need a little more work on the L.G. block/area.. But if it's not, you can clean
up the excess glue re sheet the hole and on the L.G. block most just drill holes from the
wing bulkhead through the L.G. block and out the tunnel, then epoxy in screws or I used
2 440 rods, it works great.. The 75, might be a bit heavy, (plenty of power) but should
work as long as the firewall is in good shape...,(But I don't know much about that engine)
some including me have had the S-100 4c in the nose with no problems Good luck
You can see a pic on the screw or 440rods on page 206 post 5150

cjposada, Welcome to the thread. I don't know much about the 75 either. I fly with a Saito 82. Anyway, I would try to remove the excess glue from the bottom (try a rotory file in a Dremel) and fill with balsa as needed and recover it. Here's a couple of pics that someone had recovered. I think he did a pretty good job on it.

cjposada that plane use to be mine.lol.........sorry about the "awfull" repair on landing gear im only 12years old and I have no help at home to fix my planes. Also the balsa is not fuelsoaked. even though it looks "awfull" its pretty strong. I sold the plane with an o.s 61fx and standard servos. I dont know if i sold it to you but that use to be my plane lol..... The O.S 61fx had alot of power for that plane but a better engine is saito .82 4-stroke.

These PIC's should work...
This is my UCD 46, was recovered from day one. Wanted to use a lighter covering, H9 Transparent LITES Violet 968. I did this before the “Harrier†came out. Had a OS 70 Surpass. Changed it to a OS 91 FX, 16 x 5 prop and CG at 6 inches. Had to add 4 oz of lead to tail. Great even in the wind. Much better down low. I LOVE IT!

No it's a flying field!
It's a 100meters long and 25meters wide.
No,
i don't use a pump.
My OS 91FX is mounted upright.
It runs like a champ.
Prop is an Zinger 15x4.
It hovers at 1/3 of the throttle travel.
Do you like it?

Good luck.
Thanks

HEE HEE HAW!!
ive had to put new bearings in the 100 so it was just sitting up there on the shelf and i couldnt help it
i already took it out and flew it and it really balances great at 5" and does great FS andactually helped on the knife by reducing my ele mix in half
but as all great things come to an end this shall too, got my bearings in last night and will change back soon..
when they say that the 125 and 100 have the sane mounting dimensions they are nnot lying, just had to adjust the throttle a little
does have good vertical............at half throttle

Hey Gary.... Talk about not having to move the stick S125
)...... Ya a hungry man!!
Ahh ??? Is that on a different 100???
The "Do" and ST did good
) But since my fence meeting the ST has been getting glitches
... Yeah, I know, My lifes story[:@]... I tried different things, but it still shows up now and then
I'm on my 3nd reciever now that I'll try after I get off of here.. I also pulled all the servos out
and checked everything, and nada.. Checked for medal to medal..Nada.. I'm going nuts...
Digi servos???? Exts.????
Anyway the receiver just came back from Hitec check up along with the one I took out of the
ST.... Which Hitec said no problems found[:@][:@][:@]
Lets see two planes that I have to tape the ant. to the outside of the wing
))(((((((((
Guess I'll start buying PPM only from now on.........
