U-Can-Do 3d 46?

Hey CeeGee,
I usually only take one plane out at a time. Lately I've been flying the UCD trying to get the KE thing down. Then I spend some time spinning & inverted harriers. This weekend is military & Monday I would like to get out early and test fly my super stearman. This coming Sunday those of us with stearmans are going to all fly at the same time. Once I get the UCD dialed in for KE I'll get the CAP580 back in the air. Did you ever get a CAP580 ? It really does fly great. When some of my hanger sells this coming Sunday I'm looking at getting a Showtime or an Edge540 from Skyshark or Wildhare. I'm also flying the heck out of a couple of foamies I have in the front yard when the wind dies down in the evenings.
Well gotta go, see ya.............Shawn

I am looking at getting this airplane and would like to know if this plane will accept a .45 rear exhaust in the inverted config? I have YS45RE and saito 91 that are not being used. Just curious which motor would be a better match for the 46 sized U can do.
Thx

I have been using a OS 46 AX, and it will fly the plane ok, and I think if I were better I could get it to hover ok, but at about 75-80% throttle. I am putting a Magnum 91 in and cant wait to see the difference. I really think you will be much happier with the 91. The OS 46 AX is a pretty powerful 46 and it just doesnt give enough power.

rscarawa.... Hard too beat that price.... The plane does fly Great... Get
a spare while the price is right....:-) 3D= light and overpowered slow
flying... I think a Satio 82 is a great engine for the 46UCD... I had a
YS 63 which worked good... Was hoping to switch that to the Saito 100
because of power/weight... But $$$$$ is making it tough... So I'm also
going to try the Mag 91 4c that I have....

at first i fly with a OS.46 AX and the UCD fly very good, a have unlimited vertical, and the better is the low weight, can land and take of on about 10 feet, can fly like a butterfly very slow and very light.......
With the .90 change something the stile of fly,,, is more ballistic need more to land, not to take of, you can fly slow but not like the .46......... i change the engine because i´m learning hover and with .46 can do it, but if i do something wrong, i dont have the power to go away on a second, with the .90 i´m feel someting is wrong , put full engine and an half of second wwwooooopp,,,,, go up.
i think the 2 stile are good,,,, only you know what do you want...

Sergio.... Is your tank in the stock location?? If so do you have
any problems with the engine flooding/starting??
I forgot who else uses the Mag 91 4c... If you see this post and
are flying with the combo... Can you answer the same question:-)
I guess that's part of the reason for being so slow in repairing
and finishing my engine swap... I did lower the tank about 1/4 to
1/2" but the center of the tank is still about 1/2" above the carb..
And I would hate to glue all back and have starting/running probs..
I've been really lucky on engines and had no problems... Well
except for trying to fly too long
... Hate to start now
I had no problems with the YS.. But that's a different animal all
together
Anyway have a Great one guys!!

RAIDERON,
I CHANGE THE FUEL TANK,,, I USED A SPECTRUM CRACHED TANK, IS THE SAME "DIAMETRO"
BUT LONGER,,,,, I CAN FLY ABOUT 10 MINUTES WITHOUT PROBLEMS......THE TANK IS IN THE SAME LOCATION.
(I DON´T KNOW THE TRANSLATE FOR "DIAMETRO")

Ron, that is the same place and picture of your ucd as the pics before, just another angle?come on now and lets get er done
Sergio, you can trim off the excess motor mount to lighten her up a bit, and the translation for"diametro" is diamater
