Kokamo, I would be interested but when I need it I will probably also need the fuse, tail feathers, cowl, landing gear, well in other words the whole plane.......[:-]

hey guys, i came up with an [sm=idea.gif]to maybe help to never let a mishap like mine happen again. im gonna put a large weak rubber band around the antenna and run it around the bottom of my tx and hook it around the throttle stick when starting and untill i get it on the runway, then when ready for taxi, i can remove it to fly. i have tested this and it would have prevented my plane from jumping at me and biting
.
im also building a stop for my portable tarmack that goes on my tailgate. let me know what you guys think about the throttle control thing, bad or good. thanks

Hey Gjeffers,
I think I'd keep the Tx handy & go with some kind of restraint for the plane. Or just get someone to hold the plane while you do the start & run-up. SPUDS 2 cents hope it helps.
SPUDS got one turning & one burning, what to do next? One last drag on the cig or just pull the handle? See ya.........................

Here's a holder that I made. It won't work for everyone but if you happen to set up on a bench made from 1 x 6's or similar it works perfect and only costs about 4 bucks to make. The back part goes down along the edge of the table and has a loop forward and under the table similar to the section that's on top of the table just not as long. I put a winged screw in the bottom part to secure it to the table.

Spud, i dont have anyone to fly with 90% of the time, i live out by Death valley(not to many people who fly, just one, me.)so i cant afford to accidently bump my throttle again.
and i am building a restraint also, its just that i have bumped it before and it isnt gonna happen again, thanks Spud
CeeGee,my bro in law said i should tatto that over my scar!! HAW HAW[sm=lol.gif]

Gary... I'd have to go with no on the trans:-(... You just need a good
restraint for the plane where ever you bench it.. But again that's just
my opinion.... I like your Sig.... I twitch when I see it....
CeeGee... Man that Twist sure looks shiny.... Great looking hold down!!
besides the green stuff... It looks wet... What's that:-)
Well I did not get to fly today:-(.. I did almost finish up on my profile..
Still waiting for the club to make the trip to Vegas to get my onboard
system and some parts at the clubs discount:-)... And waiting for my
YS 63 I picked up on ebay for it.... Ya'll be SAFE!!!! And Have Fun!!!!

Raideron, The Twist is gleaming and I haven't even waxed it yet and since I haven't flown it yet (too much rain) I still haven't needed to stitch the prop............ [8D]

Hi guys, been out for a while. Flew the UCD on Sunday and as alwyas it is a fun thing. But...(and I know its a sacriledge to mention on this forum) I am getting tired of the no groove flying.
Although I love this plane, it really does not fly like I want. It's the airfoil, sorta thick. I want the plane to really make a smooth roll and fly..more like a plane. I have been looking into a YAK, or an Edge. But can I just say, stay content with the plane. It's a scary money pit world out there if you want to venture into the gas motor larger scale stuff. I know you already know that, just spilling my guts.
$550.00 for a motor is tough to swallow.. And thats the cheap one.
Fly straight and clear folks.

Liberator, If you want a little better "pattern like" performance from this plane move the CG forward to about 4". I'm not saying it will fly like a pattern ship but it does help with the rolls and circles etc. It actually improves this stuff an awful lot. However, I haven't tired of the 3D stuff yet. If you are getting a little bored just bring it a little closer to the ground.Prop wash...What kind are all you guys using?
thanks,
Barry

I think that I heard a ucando wimpering in the background! Yes the ucando is not a fast plane, but it will do all the stuff that a regular plane will do only slower. Even when it is not overpowered, it is a good flying plane. I am thinking about setting the rates very low and teaching my daughter to fly the plane. Slow and steady. Hard to get into trouble while you are up high. Except for the inverted flat spin landings.

Hey Gjeffers ,What ever happened to the 40 mule team? Must have alot of places to just set up and fly. Here in Miami/Homestead we're running out of places to fly. 8 more years and I retire, Tenn. has alot more fields to choose from. Good luck, and I'll remember the prop stops there.

Hey Liberator, SPUD here, If you want pattern get the GP CAP 580. This plane grooves like crazy, & for 199.00 you can't go wrong. Let the UCD do its 3D stuff.

Hmmm Cap 580, THat might be very cool, I am going to go check it out. I want to eventually get into the 40% class, but finances are always the big issue. I love the UCD, its a great flying plane, I don't want anyone to think I am speaking any evil here

I'm sure no-one on this thread thinks that. These guys all seem as tho they just love to fly. One things for sure, the cap will do all the pattern work you can finagle, & the UCD is a 3D wizard. Good luck. SPUD

WE LOVE TO FLY???[X(] I'll write this and I know there are many more with my "PROBLEM" You see the flags standing still at lunch..hhmm I wonder if I could fake sick and go fly. Wife has some chores for you to do ..you do them really early in the morning before the sun comes up or at night the night before a good flying session! I could go on but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about ..and if you don't welcome to R/C airplanes buy your trainer , learn to fly them you'll see!

I've found that when you apply wax to the spinning prop it tends to apply wax to the rest of the plane at the same time......[8D]
