This is because the 102's are short on the 60+ ounce per inch mark so if I double them up I'm safe! I think I will put a O.S. BGX-1 in the front too.

If you guys think this setup will fly and prophang, I'll get it.

Thanks Alan
You don't need digital servos, and you don't need to double up on the servos either, just get an analogue servo with the same torque as the digital servo.

YOU STRIP THOSE LITTLE NYLON GEARS OUT AND THE RESULTING FLUTTER MAY COST YOU THE ENTIRE PACKAGE BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T SPEND ANOTHER 20 BUCKS PER ON BETTER SERVOS. THINK ABOUT IT.

Maybe your Patty is in the back of the truck.

Aerografixs,ram3500,

What sanwa (airtronics) analogue servo has 60+oince/inch torque and that is not digital or coreless. The closest I can find is the (airtronics) SX112. But that only has 56. So I thought if I used 102's I could double them up and have 106 ounce/inch and then I'l be safe! And I already have 5 102's spare, so thats ailerons and trottle already.

Alan,
I wasn't suggesting an Airtronics servo, actually any make of servo is what I was suggesting. For instance, the Futaba 9202 is a very good choice, and there many others. All I said was that you didn't need a digital servo.

Hi aerografixs,

I just searched for that servo and unfortunatly that is still going to be too expesive, but thanks for the suggestion. I am only 16 and unfortunatly every penny counts! Will this add too much weight though? All the servos in total would weigh 540grams (17.36 ounces), What servos are you (Or anyone else) using and how much do they weigh?

Thanks for your time so far,
Alan

I'm using all Multiplex servos, so that won't work for you either since they are quite expensive.

What about some of the Hitec servos (non digitals)?

Alan look for hi-tech hs645mg they are metal gear 106 oz. in. @ 4.8 volts. Price is around $35 each if you search here on RCU in the for sale section and on e-bay you might be able to get them alot cheaper.

Hi Aerografixs,

What multiplex servos are you using? I would loke to work out the weight of them so I can compare other options to them.

Thanks for all your help,
Alan

I even use these for the choke and throttle servos.

Default flex those wings

I changed the landing gear on my GP Extra 300 because they flexed more then this eagles wings. I used ultra cote to hold the balsa block on. This makes getting to the gear bolts easy for inspection.

Hey Bill,
Could you post your pic's so they don't come out so big? It makes the page really wide and a pain to read the rest of the posts. I always attach the picture and it leaves a smaller size that people can click on to enlarge. Thanks.

Bill nice analogy between the flex in the landing gear and the wings of an Eagle. I don't quite understand the second picture.

Hey, I didn't ask Bill to stop posting his nature pictures. I just asked him to use a differant format that won't stretch the screen and I'm sure dial up folks would appreciate it also. And I asked politly as well but got some delayed stress syndrome response instead of an intelligent reply.

Dennis, I've come to expect your knee jerk responses such as your "SHUT UP" remarks. Very well thought out.

Default Skin is getting thicker.

BasinBum
I apologize for the claymore. (it was a joke) You are have a good point about dial up connections. I have tried to upload a good picture using the upload feature. By the time you lower the size the resolution is poor. I just wanted to share some Alaska wildlife with you all. Delayed stress is why I still work for the FAA as an air traffic controller, no one else will have me. Yes the skies are safe!
Today is my day off.
Bill

Bill, I LIKE the pictures. I was just wondering/suggesting.

I too have a thin skin sometimes when I get the same response repeatedly from certain members here.

I recognized the Claymore because I was making up fake ones for a movie recently.

And I thought you were a fishing guide....

BasinBum

I have been an air traffic controller for 32 years. I have seniority here at our facility, so I get July off for fishing. In the summer I guide on the Kenai river. Come up here and I will take you fishing.

I bet it's easy to catch fish with Claymores, or do you just use them on the mosquito's?

You know about our mosquito's? The tourist industry won't let us post pictures of them.
