Default Raiden Tech is Horrible

I purchased a piper cub from Raiden Tech 2.5 months ago. I have been calling them and trying to get the landing gear that didn't come in the kit. They keep telling me it's in the mail. The service person actually thought it was funny That I have had the plane for this long and haven't been able to fly it because I don't have the gear. Should be interesting to see if the plane falls apart in the air when I do finally fly it. Would highly recommend not dealing with this company.

I would thing that RCU would excercise their right to refuse advertising on these guys. They are not the kind of company to be around here at all.

And yet others have had zero problems in multiple dealings with them.

If I had a Cub and couldn't get a landing gear from the seller, I would eventually buy a substitute landing gear and fly the model. Needless to say, I would tell everyone about my experiences with the company that filtched me out of a landing gear too. Just as the OP is telling us here.

They'll just change their name again and be back in a week. The best solution is to always buy with a credit card. Then claim a refund from the credit card company. They will take the money back from the seller. That is likely to be the only thing the seller listens to.

EXACTLY!!!!!

Best way to get someones attention is to hit them in the wallet.

Got your attention when they hosed you out of the landing gear didn't it?

So, get their attention by calling the credit card company and filing a claim to get your money back. Get right in their wallet. If enough of you guys would do this--it would motivate Raidentech to do a beter job. Strength in numbers.

So now you are recomending that he steals from the company? Or would you like him to first send the plane back? I understand that he has not yet recieved a gear for his plane but now telling him to steal the airplane from them is 10 times worse then what they ever did.

Actually, that's way too harsh an interpretation.

The company has had ample opportunity to provide what he has already paid for. They have shown that they really don't care that they sold him an incomplete product.

The price of a gear isn't equal to the price of the entire airplane, but he did pay for a complete airplane and he didn't get a complete airplane. He was cheated. Let's say you buy a new car from a dealership who doesn't have the color you wanted. They find one and say it'll be there in a couple of days. You pay for it, but when you come to pick it up, it doesn't have any tires on it. You going to want your money back? No, you want the tires on the car right then because your vacation started that day and you made plans. The dealer laughs about how funny it is, a car with no tires, and walks back into the dealership, leaving you in the lot with your valuable new car. Heck, what could the dealer do, he'd have to take tires off a car he wants to be able to sell that day, just to help you with "your" problem. He's got cars to sell. Can't be bothered with an idiot who bought a car with no tires on it. Dealer walks away laughing. The car buyer does what now?

He's not stealing anything. They've cheated him. He's working out some justice. I'm sure there would be a lot of people who feel that RaidenTech probably still owes him even more.

My interpertation is not harsh at all it is the truth. Doing something like this is wrong! And using you car analogy lets say that something goes wrong with your car, you take it in to get it fixed and find out the dealer you bought it from will not fix it for what ever reason. You then decide to " hit them in the wallet" and stop making payments you then walk out side one morning and find that they hit you even harder and repoed your car. Its the same thing! Theft is theft no matter how you spin it. I am not defending Raiden Tech but am standing up for the principel of the thing if people get this idea in the head we will see this a lot more often and even good companies will fall victom to it. You may think you are teaching a leson but all you people are doing is killing off buisneses one at a time.

In the instance of the repoed car, you have also ruined your credit rating.

Chances are that RaidenTech's folks work full time jobs in addition to running their company. This is no excuse for not delivering the landing gear or offering a free shipping ticket to return and refund the model. But it can partially explain how one can be overwhelmed by life and its situations.

RaidenTech should get on the phone, or email, and try to smooth things over. I doubt if they went to all of the trouble to start a business just to have it go in the tank over a missing landing gear.

Still, I do not blame the OP for being ticked off. Come on RaidenTech, make it right.

The credit card company is not likely to give him a full refund if he keeps the airplane. They will negotiate a resonable settlement with the seller. The most logical result of the claim would be that Raiden-Tech will find him a new landing gear, but if they get their ego involved, he just might wind up with a full refund. That works for me.

Lets talk about the concept of punative damages. If the numbers were a lot higher, he would sue them in court and he would claim monitary damages to get his money back and to pay his lawyers. He would also ask for punitive damages to make it less likely that the seller would do the same thing again, to someone else. Yes, the system is subject to abuse. That's why courts very often reduce the sky high numbers that juries come up with. But companies that pay punitive damages usually change the way they do business.

(No, I'm not a lawyer.)

Theft is theft no matter how you spin it.
And fraud is fraud. RaidenTech did not deliver the goods and chooses to laugh at requests that they do so. They advertised a complete model, not one minus it's landing gear. They took the full amount for a complete airplane and not only didn't deliver up front, are refusing to deliver after taking all the buyers money.

If it ain't fraud, what is it? Stealing?

Not for nothing but why not put the plane in a box and ship it back to the seller?, then with the insurance and ups tracking number in hand i would call my c/c company to do a charge-back, then I would buy a plane from a reputable dealer.Either that or just buy a set of gear for it, which would cost the same or less as the shipping. After all this then post the "buyer beware" after all the only thing being hurt here is that companys reputation, and in business thats everything.

They would probably just resell it to someone else with the same missing parts.

www.raidentech.com aka www.nitroplanes.com

The best thing to do in this situation is to immediately return the imcomplete kit and ask for a replacement or refund. Always pay by credit card!

Raidentech/Nitroplanes can take forever to fix a problem, and then only if you are constantly (but politely) badgering the right people.

It's not worth the grief, wait and pain to do this though.

Request an RMA and ship the kit/arf back to them.

If they tell you that they will get you the part, refuse, you may NEVER see it or see it many months later (ask me how I know!).

If they fail to quickly send you a replacement kit/arf just call up the credit card company and tell them that you did not receive the replacement merchandise in a timely manner.

Raidentech/Nitroplanes will either get you the replacement ASAP or you'll get your money back.

That said, after having one such problem, and having learned what to do, I've purchased a couple of other planes from them w/o incident and I know know to check the plane upon arrival and make any claims the same day.

You said you heard of good reviews, now you ordered many times. rofl ask them were my Bobcat is, ordered it over a month ago. They never charged for it but still a real crappy way to run a place.

For them to call you back your allot more special than your name suggests
