I was at my LHS today, and was looking at the BCPP box. On the box, it mentions an optional upgrade, part# EFLH1176 (whole metal head unit). Also, there is a picture of it with the metal swash and head right on the box.
However, I checked Horizon Hobby's site, and found no mention of this part. Also, google finds no results for it.
I assume it was either canceled, or is not released yet. Anyone have any info about it???

Thanks for the info, but it not the swash plate I am looking for. It is the EFLH1176 whole metal head mentioned on the box that I am trying to find info about.

Thank you very much! I figured it was probably still waiting to be released...
I will keep my eye on the web site until the info comes out.

Hi All!
Has anyone tried hooking a Blade CP Pro to a simulator yet?
I've got a Blade CP and I'm wondering if the same simulator
cable would work for the Blade CP Pro.
According to pics, both TX's look identical except for the extra
knobs on top.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Orlbuzz and Spuratic!
I've just got a reply from the Blade CP Pro manufacturers (Horizon Hobby) that the Pro TX
will work with the CP cable.
I'll be getting a Pro soon.
I actually sell the cable and sim - see this link:
http://www.preflightsim.com/pforderPFBE.htm
You can also find it in ebay - I'm doing a promo so it's cheaper there.
I'm also adding the Blade CP Pro model to the sim in a few days.
Regards,
pingprime

I just ordered my CPP from Ebay and I got a free lipo with it. It was $249.99 free shipping and brand new.
Enticer
The blade cp pro comes with a charger but it is DC so you have to charge it in a car or something.
For a sim clearview (i think) is only $30 but it does not come with a cable. Also it has the Blade CP Pro and not just the Blade CP.
Well I look foward to flying my Blade when it comes.

Hi, I like the looks of the sim from what I could tell on your site. I haven't taken a look at the demo yet...
Do you sell the cables seperate at all?

Hey pingprime,
any chance you could port your Sim to Mac OSX? There aren't any out there. (well except for a shareware version that's pretty much a joke)

Hello everyone, glad I found this thread, I have wanted a heli forever and never been able to afford the up keep on a Nitro one (my father flew them in the early 90s)
but the E ones are great I think. I seen the Blade CP 's fly at SEFF 2005 they were killer even in the 25 MPH winds.
But they were expert pilots at the controls also, my question is. can a person just starting out really fly one of these in a little bit of wind? Its about to be winter and they will be wind here almost everyday.
I have flown helis on a flight sim and I think I could fly a real one, I know how to fly one ( the controls and all) I know its different in real life but... I really think I could get the hang of it I am a fast learner.
I would like to know if something does happen what break most the time? or is that a stupid question, as in well it could be anything just depends.
I have a Field next to my house that has tall tall grass I thought about cutting a spot out maybe 10x10 for me to stand in and for the heli to sit in and fly in that area to hover then once i got up 5 feet or so flying over the tall grass so if i got in trouble i could chop the power and it land in the tall grass ...good or bad idea? I heard someone tell a guy to do this at club Field thats why I asked
The pro has better stuff such as blades and all but should a beginner put the regular blades on to start with?
does anyone know a site that lists all the parts for the heli? as in the 3 in one and stuff cause I have heard about things like that going out and being way expensive.
OK Thanks for anyone who can answer my questions, I fly airplanes and run RC trucks and need more of a challenge

Based on my experience so far...
Moderate crash, hard landing out of a hover with boom strike or blade strike = blades ($16) + main shaft ($6) + flybar ($2) = $24
Heavier crash during forward flight = crash kit, grips, spindle, main shaft = $42

Yeah, spindle, shaft, blades, skids... This are the parts that seem to break most often for me.
Flying over tall grass or a bean field, etc. is a good idea. Tall vegetation like that will 'bleed' energy from the rotor head more slowly than concrete
You can find parts listings on MANY sites. The BCP and pro are very popular, so lots of hobby sites stock parts. Here is the site of the company that distributes the E-flite brand:

I just picked up some training gear and an AC to DC adapter for the charger but like I said before I ordered it from Ebay and it has not come yet... I can't wait. Should come within one or two days.
