Justin,
You may have already tried this and posted about it but im not sure so just ignore me if im being redundant.
Check to make sure that your gyro if, it has a option to select between analog and digital servo settings. If it does make sure it is not in digital servo mode.
When all else fails. return the thing and get a telebee or a g90 and forget about the whole thig.

Well my lizard is sick so I have to take it to the doctor. Luckly my LHS is right next to it so I am going to have the guy cheack out my heli. (the tail surges) Maybe they will know what is wrong...
Wish me luck,
Justin

Ever since I installed my brushless motor, I've noticed that the helicopter will turn counter-clockwise whenever I apply throttle. I assume that I need to adjust the gain trimmer pot? If so, which way do I turn it?
#1179
No on the brushless, but plan on upgrading very soon. My current motor gets really really hot, and just eats my batteries alive. its definitely not going to last much longer.
I am still stock on the tail rotor, but I have a question for everyone else with g90 (or similar) gyros. Without rudder input, this heli will not hold its tail in 1 position if going through the throttle quick, right? especially on cutting back the power, it seems the helo always swings right as if the tail rotor can't slow down quick enough. This is for stock tail motor. I am guessing with DD, this problem is reduced?

Minex,
I would recomend retuning your revo mix & gain. Turn your gain all of the way down and then tune the rev until the heli flies well, then adjust your gain up.

I just picked up the DX7. I figured I might as well have a radio that will stay with me through all my soon to be heli's and planes.
My question is: Has anyone fit the AR7000 receiver in the blade. I really don't feel like shelling out the 50 bones for the AR6100 right now. I just dumped all that money on the radio.
If someone has done that, could you post some pics and descriptions of any problems you had getting it to fit.
It wouldn't be a huge problem, but the servo wires connect to the small side of the receiver. If they plugged into the broad side of the receiver, it would fit without too much trouble.
I'm actually thinking of putting it under the main gear. I would prefer it in the stock location, though.
Thanks in advance
Karl

I have a Chinese water dragon
Also the switch is in the anolog (I had it in digital at first and it totaly fliped out). It holds fine but it acts like the gain is set too high, but it's not. It just wags. It even wags when the gyro is not attached.

Hey, what kinda lizard u have? Ive got a Bearded dragon, leopard gecko, all sorts of anoles, and some white spotted geckos. (And a fifty gallon tank of extremely nice rare fish, my favorite being my prized adult yellow spotted silver-dollar) I also have 3 birds-cockatiel, lovebird and budgie.

That is a good price. I paid a lot more for the G90 locally
But I did have it in my chopper right away, rather than waiting for the UPS guy
I guess it all depends what your priorities are. I paid more for my DX7 than you can get them on E-Bay for, but I didn't have to ship it. In all, I think I paid 20 or 30 bucks more, but I had it right away and didn't have to wait for the delivery guy then go pick it up from the post office because I missed him. Blah, blah....
Just my rant. Plus: I get to support some local guys that will bend over backwards to give me a hand if I'm in a pinch.

Well, I've been working on the Blade since I got home. I tore the complete heli down and rebuilt it from the ground up. It was getting a little too sloppy. New main gear and shaft, servos, bearings, links and oh, yeah: The DX7
I finally got the AR7000 to fit in the front of the BCPP! I love being able to set up exactly how I want the controls to act! I've never had the chance to play with one of these computerized radios before. I'm so glad I spent the extra coin and got this instead of the DX6.
I just have to my custom titanium tail boom in place and get the tail motor wired in. Then I'll be ready for the sunny days we are supposed to be having soon. B)
I'm just waiting for my wife to catch on that I have a different radio. Then she'll ask how much it was, and you know. It'll all be worth it.
So far, I've been working on my hovering. I'll be working on FF for the next little while.
I'm already looking for my next heli as I outgrow this. I am seriously considering the HDX450SE from HeliDirect. It's supposed to be quite good, but don't buy the bundle because it comes with a crap motor and speed controller. (supposedly). What do you guys think of this heli? It seems to fly pretty good. I've seen some videos of it flying and it is QUICK.
What are your opinions on this one?

Kudos Karl,
I am always looking for a good deal but my LHS is always my first choice. Besides they give a 3% discount for members!
Since I am planning on upgrading to the DX&, I have to ask--What is the dimension of the 7000 receiver?
Michael

Karl,
I know what you mean about the wife / cost factor. It looks as though you and I are equals in the experience department. I have been doing FF and reverse.
My LHS guru says that the T rex 450 SE is quite a step up but it also offers a more stable flight. It is easier to fly than the CPP, says he!
Of course this is a kid that is flying in tournaments etc...LOL
My next bird will be the Trex SE but they also offer the new ARF thar comes with CF frame etc.

as i say i´m new to the helis and maybe the way i explain could be funny or weird but here it is ..
after do the before fly check list everything looks fine but when i apply the trothle gradually and still in the ground (i can´t fly yet) the heli roll to the right side, viewing from tail, i need to move the right trim the one under the right stick all to the left and heli keep stable..
What can i do ? is there any linkages to adjust ..
thanks in advance..

Is it going opposit of the way the tail is pushing? You said it was going right and the tail pushes right so that's odd...
Is you swash level or can you tell it is off just by looking at it? If it is you can ajust the servo push rods that connect to the swash to level it.
My heli drifts crazy left but once it's in the air it's all good.
My LHS guru is only there on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays so when I went the other guys had no idea how to fix my problem.
Hope this helps,
Justin

ha, i am having so much fun flying my bcpp on the helicopter landing pad that is right across the street from my house. people will stop and just watch b/c they've never seen a rc heli before, one guy got out of his car and came over and talked to me while i flew for like 25 minutes, now i just need the wind to calm down so i can flip this thing over.

Equus,
Have you crashed your bird hard yet? If so, Did you mess with the main rotor? If so, you may have to extend or shorten the linkage to the servos that control your aileron roll (side to side). The two servos in the rear do this. Shorten the left one 1/2 turn (from the rear Tail view) and lengthen the right one 1/2 turn. You should see a little difference and can make more adjustment if needed.

commander bob i say everything fine is fine because i think i don`t know how to check the correct level
mykul812 : the only chrash was when my heli fall off the table i made a mistake and tried to check the controls and didn`t disconect the motors the blades hit my hand and then fall off the table a blade was broken, but however before this i noticed the problem was there, i `ll try to adjust the linkages as you and comander bob say ...
is there any measure ? if so can you tell what is the correct and i can check it with my vernier (caliper)..
Thanks guys

Want to pick up a BCpp that the 3into 1 and receiver is bad. Can I use a HH gyro and 2 ESC and a berg receiver with my 8103H, and not replace the 3into 1 and stock receiver? Maybe a good time to jump up to brushless also. I have a Himax 2015, would it work? and what do you need to instal it?
