Goplaneman,
Your right, if you're using the stock transmitter, the HS55's turn in the opposite direction than the standard S75's that come with the Blade CP/CPPRO. Flipping the switches on the TX, to reverse travel doesn't work, you end up with the 3n1 or 4n1 not arming.
They are exactly the same size, so installation is now problem.
The HS55's are better than the S75's, being that there is zero slop in them compared to the S75's..
If you really are interested in doing this, just PM me and I'll walk you through it.. There are 4 wires in the servo that have to be reversed. If you're not afraid of tiny little wires and soldering..
Option 2, a programmable radio, DX6 or DX7, Futaba. Pick your posion..

Are HS55 a direct replacment for the stock servos? I think I read someware you had to rewire them if you are using the stock radio.

Goplaneman,
Take your time and reverse the servo direction,, make sure everything else is good.. I always take off the blades when testing..

I have a 8103H, sounds like it is time to start programing.

I have heat sink on top motor only and I am using the mount as a heat sink. have not had any motor problems yet. how every had nice OOPS and now I am in a rebuild pilot error. oh well thats the way it goes.

I think is the link to the part you are talking about. That looks sweet, that's the part I think I am going to go with.
I don't have a scale, so I can't really do any of these measurements, so I was wondering if anyone else has done them, or will do them?
What is the weight of the stock tail without a heatsink?
What is the weight of the dual tail without heatsinks?
How much does one of the little n30 heatsinks weigh?
How much does the DD system weigh with the tail the motor, the heatsink, the prop, ect?
I was just wondering, because I think that the weight of the dual tail mod might be comparible to the weight of the DD setup.

mrasmm this is a link to the dd tail it tells you how to do it and what you need to do it it even gives you weights between stock and the dd tail i will try to find a scale and do the dual tail motor for you.
oh ya by the way it is the 3n1 that is bad

hey, great, that is exactly what I was looking for =)
That sucks about your 3 in 1.... if it is just the power mosfet and you are good at soldering... you can just replace the mosfet =)

Thanks for sending me that link, and that would be cool if you could weigh that setup for a comparison =)

Yep thats the one I got. mine came in blue color. so far so good i did just loose a tail bearing i will pick them up this week sometime and try to get it all back together.

I was wondernig if the brushless system and the hol heading gyro is really worth it, or would you save more money to just buy a completely new heli instead, one that is more "PRECISE" that the Blade CP Pro? Thanks for your help!

It really depends on what you want. The blade can be an indoor heli, and if that appeals to you then the upgrades might be worth it to you. Something like the TRex is a more capable heli, but cannot really be flown indoors. It would also cost you about $500 to get one of those, compared to $100 to $200 to upgrade the blade depending on what systems you end up going with.
BTW I don't know where you are at in your flying... but if you are not to aerobatics... you could probably just hold off for a bit, do some more reading, and then decide when you are there.

Ok, thanks, I was thinking when i am able to do aerobatics and inverted hover, i will buy the T rex 600, wich is Very expensive compared the the Blade Cp Pro, so i think it might make sense to upgrade the CPP first, then buy that 2000 dollar heli[sm=what_smile.gif]

Lilpilot13,
Mrasmm, has some good advice... Just to add to that, consider several things,, what is your budget, Big Factor. Think about your long term goal, what do you visulize yoursefl doing.. Backyard flying, Aerobatics, or 3D.. Each step, is fun and can be a ton of money, trust us on that.... When your ready for the next step and feel good with the Blade, go for a T-Rex. Just a lot of looking and research on your part on what YOU want to do...
The Brushless motor and G90 upgrade for the Pro is a good investment. With the Pro, stay with the sugguested Manufactures recommendation, They've done alot of research on this. Again, think long term... And don't go Bling crazy...

haha, a 7th grader
, i'm a ninth grader flying the blade cpp. i'd say if you want to upgrade it, do it kinda little by little, while learning 3D with the stock gyro and tail is hard, you might want to upgrade to a hh gyro and dd tail. when you do have that, you can advance quite a bit before you actually outgrow the stock motor. you won't be able to do tic tocs with the stock motor, but it'll take you all the way through inverted flight, hover, backward flight, backward inverted, that is, if you don't upgrade to a better heli by then.
oh, you never mentioned what level ur at right now though? or did you? did i miss it?

Well, i have had the Heli for a little while, since Febuary. And i juts found out that i am good enough to fly in my shop, so right now, i am working on hovering with the tail boom the the left, it is pretty hard, but i am getting better, i have only tried it once, and i havent flown since becaus ei havent had time. I'm following the Radd flying school for forward flight and nose in hover. What stage are you at for flying? Are you doing mild aerobatics?

i'm doing 3D with it, i'd say about as much as the stock motor can throw, i can't do inverted flight yet though, only hovering and flips and stationary rolls... i started last july.
i doubt you'll need 3~5 years, i'm wanting a better heli already, but never really make up my mind to part with my money. and don't get the professionally built RTF ones, yes, they may be professionally built and test flown, but you'll eventually have to know how to put it together, (ie. an arguement with mother earth
). and i think it's cheaper to get the kit. and you can put what ever electronic acc.s you like in it.
