Lol.... I know the video is POOR quality ! I'll probally erase it after a week... I was tinkering with the settings for 'High Quality' and it gave me poor quality ! ...
It was 303 mb's, and I think being that You-Tube has a smaller size for the video, it made it blurry... Drives me nuts, but oh well...
Thanks for the compliments... I'll have to do what you say, and try the battery more aft for another experiment. Right now, and in the video, it sits where the front of the battery is equal to the front of the leading edge of the main wing, and then goes back... I didn't think the batt would have enough pull to push the 740 gram aircraft which is dry weight... But I have added a bit more with CF rods running through the front fuse and one running through the back to help hold it together along with massive packing tape for my nice crashes that I offer it...
I took it also to the other flying field with my dad today also, and there were some joggers nearby watching, so of course me I decided to show of a little & take it out over the field for a low-deck inverted pass, which was sweet until I went to pull up, and realized that everything was opposite as they all watched it eat some dirt...
Nooby...Lol.. If I was higher like I SHOULD have been, it would have been an easy recovery but I have this fetish with low flying passes as also with my heli's... Quite fun though ! I'am going to start concentrating more on the heli's now, as I still want to be able to fly it like you guys can....
Take care Jay,
~ Jeff
Thanks Dave !!

Jeff~ i ordered two sets of blades and yes i did figure out that the links are just right hand tread but no big deal just have too remove one end to adjust,on a car you adjust the center and it will lengthen or shorten the rod very easy to do,i'm sure someone out there has got after market rods that will work the same way,i inspected my rotor head and found one of my o rings damaged and the flybar out of adjustment, looked like it was out of balance when i spooled it up the first few times.from what i learned here i think i can fix everything.i got one of those electrofly flatana and you can 3 d those and very easy to fix and only cost 25 bucks,i have done things with that i wouldn't think of doing with my bigger planes. ~mike Dave~thanks for the links i'll take a look.

Jeff~when i started flying 3d type plane i had a lot of trouble landing stalling and dropping at the last second and tearing up landing gear the trick is using your throttle instead of chopping the throttle and gliding ,try that it might help, you just have to find that sweet spot when the plane stalls and be at the rite height when it does, great flying looking good. mike

Yeah thanks... That poor Typhoon has gone through a lot...Lol..
Once I can get my landings down a bit better, I'll then put the Funtana together. But for now, I just don't want to be ripping the landing gear off on the Funtana as the gear is a little more rigid, than the bendable wire ones that are on the Typhoon... Those I can just bend back.
I think I just about got the Trex back together with the new head installed, so looking forward after work to fire it up !
Hopefully your blades come in soon, so you can continue with peeing your pants with that killer Belt CP !!...

They sure give you a rush, when first starting out... Excited as hek, but yet so darn nervous ! What a world of emotions heh ?!
Alright, off to work.... Yeah check out those links/videos Dave gave you... They'll show you everything you ever want to know plus more. I saved them all to my computer, for future reference and also for a faster view if need be. I still have lots to learn with the heli's as well, so I'll also be watching them again this winter... I'am not sure which ones would be similiar to the Belt CP, but you may try the Trex 450 videos he offers... Lots of similarities in just basic set-up, and what to look for, and electronic placement, TX programming etc. etc... A search on You-Tube also will show some set-up ideas for the Belt-Cp also... But Finless is known world-wide, so his knowledge is correct and easy to understand step by step...
I saw those Flatouts at the LHS...! They were the Common Sense brand, and a couple others. They caught my eye, as the size was nice and they looked simple enough to just go out and have some fun. Finding electronics would require some research for me, as I'am unfamiliar with the massive varieties of motors and such to put into one. Still new in the game, but hopefully someday I'll get one. Right now I need another Trex, to keep me in the air during 'down-time' so that's coming first here in the next couple of weeks I'am hoping...
Have a good one Mike,

Jeff~regarding the flatana rimfire 1000kv brushless with matching esc 8 amp and any 3 in the 340 or 640 range or 2 cell lipo works great,i'm using a gws 4 channel receiver and hitec 55 servos on controls, a 8/6 prop with 3 cell and a 10by 4.7 with the two cell flies ballistic with the 3 cell and alright with the two cell. mike

Jeff, I really meant that the You-tube page looks like Chinese or something, a lot of boxes with numbers. The video played and looked great.
On the batt issue, I wouldn't move it back much more, you may end up too tail heavy. Going with the lighter batt in front of the cg already moves the CG back making it 3D so well. It looked like in the video you were where it needs to be for hovering and such.
Take Care Buddy and God Bless Ya,
Jay

Jeff Michael,
Geez Louise,, that was excellent. You've come a long, long way in such a short time with the planks. Very impressive. You're having toooo much fun.
Keep 'er going. Life is short and my left eye just started twitching.
[sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=shades_smile.gif] On thing you need to work on is landings, Vic said that awhile back.. Just do land and goes, land and goes.
Landing is IMPORTANT! You're doing fine. No................................................ ........ you're doing super-duper!
Mike,
Here's the Finless video group, that Jeff was talking about, I thought I'd give him a hand so he could get SOME SLEEP!
You do have to be a member to view the videos, it's free just like RCUniverse, just make a login screen name and password.
All his videos are excellent for noobies and old timers like me, refresher courses. You'll have to search for what you need. He's made a ton of videos... He's like a heli-god.

Here is a link to some Belt CP vids(I'm on #3 now) they seem to be full of good info(so far).[link]http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=11777CE421EEA6E6[/link] Also the guys on the Belt CP thread are pretty helpful and know most of the trick to the Heli. Oh yeah my Belt CP will be here this week

Hope this helps.

Jeff Michael,
The CARE package arrived today. I see you sent it on Sept 10th. Today is the 22nd. Geeez Louise, a Wagon Train would have been faster. LMAO Liz thought I ordered a self-cleaning steam iron.

Oh, your video quality was very good, not to worry. Shhhh, damn it![sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=wink_smile.gif]
Thanks you so much,

Mike,
Here's what you need to extremely fine tune blade pitch, titanium turn buckles. Click on the picture of the turn buckle to see how it works. Also, read the reviews, excellent product. A little pricey, but what the heck.
Oh, and the push links that come with the rods are to loose on the balls of the swashplate and pitch/bell hiller control arm. Discard and use the originals from the stock set up.
You can make infinite adjustments with this set up, I have them. Takes alot of the headaches out of blade tracking.

You'll love the Finless Videos, if you watch the Trex videos you'll be good to go..

Kyle,
You're probably on pins and needles waiting for the heli to arrive. As you see, probably very often, myself and Vic post ALL the time, go over it with a fine tooth comb out of the box and check everything. Take your time and be patient...Don't forget SET-UP!

Makes a World of difference..

Youtube looks fine for me Jay, not sure what 's up onyour end.
Vic- Simply beautiful!
Mike and Kyle, the Belt CP is so much better then the CPP. Enjoy them!
Dave-Snail mail strikes again. I have a terrible time with my local post office. I was supposed to receive a package from Tower Hobby today. Guess what my mail lady didn't bring?
Jeff I just ordered a Futaba 3154. I wanted to see how it fit in the B400 and was considering upgrading all my servos to them. Since I'm having a tail issue I will try it there first. If I like it, I will get 2 more for the collective/cyclic and then get a 9650 for the tail!

When I first saw the video of the Typhoon the quality was very poor.... But today I see, it has the option of 'high quality' ! So much better ! My internet connection is poor here on the mountain, via/sattelite so it took the 303 mb video of almost 4 minutes, 4 hours to download to You-Tube...Lol.. But pretty neat ! I'am not sure if I'll do it everytime, as even when I'am looking at vids on You-Tube I usually don't bother hitting the 'high quality' button....
Also........ What are you smokin' in regards to Chinese writing and stuff ?! I checked a few times on different computers, and see nothing there ! I told ya to slow down on them Bud Light's....
Is that Gypsum, from sheetrockin' getting to you again ?!
That's weird.... Don't ya love computers ?! Let us know what ya find out....
Dave ~
Its about time you got that..... Geez....! I'am hoping then, Gary got his money-order, as I was wondering about it in the last few days....
Vic ~
Those look so killer ! Which one is mine ?...
I'am assuming its the one that has the number 38 on the side, since that's my age ?!
You have my address right ? I'll trade ya some Tarantula's for it....
They look so great as a pair....
Kyle ~
Definately let us know when you get your Belt CP ! We want pics, videos, everything....!
Well, I got to finish up with the Trex here before dark, so I can do a test hover and hope nothin' flies off or anything, so I better scoot..... Talk with ya all later !

Jim and Jeff Michael,
LOL, snail mail, but what can we expect anymore... Quickly, anytime you send something across the old Mississippi, just figure to add 3 to 5 days. My post office guy told me that months ago. There's a holding station in St. Louis and they don't ship till the truck is full.
The USPS ships things in ZIG-ZAGS. Not how you would like it. LMAO!

You'd have to ship a couple cases of trantulas....yes, there are idiots up here that BUY them as PETS, about $20 per BUG (LMAO). I wished my beagle could get $20 per bug....I'd be richer than rich.

LMAO Vic!
Since my B400 is grounded I made a video in FS One tonite of the next thing I'm going to try. I haven't figured out (yet) how to get it in a format that I can upload it to youtube. I'm working on it.

To help you convert the format for your FS-One here is what I use to record, take snaphots, and other options for recording my RealFlight G4 sessions, and even the Google Earth live screen shots like you saw I used in snoopin' in on Dave. You open the program, and then press F9 to start recording and F9 again to stop....
It converts it to whatever format you choose... I got the program free from a You-Tube vid I came across that was only there for 3 days and then deleted, in which gave me the activation codes to make it free instead of paying the cash to use it. They do offer a free trial version, in which JPEE told me will still let you record up to a minute of free recordings, so if you do that just save all those 1 minute recordings, go to Windows Movie Maker or Nero (After selecting which format in the ZD recorder) and blend them together like we do with are videos....
The program is called ZD Soft Game Recorder http://www.zdsoft.com/game-recorder/
Hit the free download button and go from there.... I can give you the activation codes, if you want to try to get it to work with them, but JPEE and RotoryDoc said they couldn't get it to work for them.... It worked for me, but they might have disabled the codes possibly from massive hits and tries from the You-Tube video that offered this info... I don't know...
Here is a few pics that I took with the program below. Good luck !
Here is also my first attempt in recording with the program, but later in time will do a better one, as the quality was reduced from what I actually see on my laptop running the program. There is a lot of options for audio and video with the program that I haven't figured out yet...

Alright..... I need to dig up pics somewhere on my computer for JPEE, as he was inquiring on the helmet cam and what programs we use to modify and put up on You-Tube....
Oh...... The Trex is airbourne !!! So sweet....[8D] I miss it...!
