Vic ~

I also use the Align blue main gear. Its from the SE V2 and so much better than the normally out-of-round SA ones I have bought in the past. The blue one seems much more durable since its been on my heli for about 9 months. Its survived a few crashes and pleased with it...

Jay ~

Looks so good ! Now get out there and do some funky cold medina with that SA ! [8D]

Hello Guys,

Well because I am board and cant really fly top stick right now Iplayed with my T REX 600 and a camera. You will see belowhow I mounted the camera but I think do to is extension the plastic batt try moves bit under torq. It also looks likesomething is just a bit out of balance, perhaps my blades as the camera gets pretty calm at higher rpms. While I am just playing I would prefer to see it under the heli so I can put on my canopy to make it easier to fly. Crap, a one armed, old, blind guy like me............well it was just tought to do at the Park this morning.

I loaded this video on VIMEO this morning and they have published the video but will not release it saying it is backed up in line. All day they have had a banner over the clip saying WHYdont you join Vimeo for $60.00 plus bucks to get first postings of the day, I say BITEME and with reluctance went to YT

YouTube and as always watch it in HQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bVOUYA828s

JPEE ~

That was awesome ! I was waiting for you to get that 600 up with that cam.... I love your camera ! I was just looking at the Logo today, and was going to remount the camera way toward the front and under the canopy more. Hopefully this weekend I can try it out.

The saturation is nice and rich in your video. The Webbie lacks the color richness as others have said who have it also, but is clear if ya keep still....

BTW.... I think I saw Joanna in your vid...

I thought JPEE was going to spice things up a bit, and give us a little "lightpole" action with the cam attached for some added realism with his encounters with "Joanna".

Just checkin in we had horrible storms today with a tornado touchdown 10mi away [X(]and power went out around 8am and just came back on at 9pm. Well I got the servos mounted on the EXI now just figuring out wire routing. Vic or anyone else if you got a few pics to show how you sorted you wires and stuff gyro, rx, esc it would be a big help.

10 miles is pretty close, glad you are OK!

JPEE- that was some quality video. What camera were you using? Also, where were you flying? It looked like you were in a field full of crop circles! And where are the nude beach pics?

Well...I'm pretty proud of myself. I stuffed my heli...had it flying in a matter of an hour or so. Tail control was the pits after repair, couldn't figure out why. I added tension...helped alot but it was still jittery side to side...I lowered the gyro settings....now I get jittery and sloppy. Closer look reveals the belt is almost as smooth on the inside as it is on the out side.....I actually wore out a belt...it took about a year. I got two new ones, so I'm all set. Changed it out...full tail control and a piro snap rate that's unreal[X(]

Kyle,
Good to hear everyone is safe! I'd take pics of mine but a one armed blind man could do a better job than me of routing wires.... Oh sorry JPEE, LMAO!

JPEE,
Great video man, perfect![8D] I love how you mounted the camera on your 600.

Vic,
You stuffed it in?

One more note on the HK-450~ 90% of the screws weren't snug enough so if you get one check em over good

Blessings,

Jay

Kyle...Jay might have some routing suggestions/pics. I had to use a servo extension wire on one of the servos to reach the RX which I mount left rear external, and the gyro is on the gyro deck behind the anti rotation bracket....I have NOTHING inside the frame, the ESC is located externally on the right side rear panel. Havent had a camera since the wife roached mine.

EVOLUTION OF ONE IDEA :

Had never heard of a SONY WEBBIE until J and J started mentioning it. So; I went exploring and now have
the information. 3inches wide, 4.5oz weight, 7" length, it just fits almost exactly in the CANOPY SPACE plus a small %
I looked at the BIG 3meter glider and noticed that I have set up the canopy with 1button-head screws on either side.
The observation then led to thinking it will not be hard at all to create a PLATFORM to fit the WEBBIE upon.
I need the 4.5oz weight right there, anyway. And FLOATING AROUND at 500feet [+ or -] what better platform for filming
than the BOT with total control and totally NO VIBRATION !!!! ?????

now I am throwing out the IDEA, for thrashing by my dear BOB's ..... whaddaya'all THINK ? will it work ?????
I think this project is germinating in W N U K ' s mind also.
Am Iright ?

let's see just what follows : I am curious

Hey Guys, just checking in. I found out a friend from RCG died a couple of days after responding to a post and decided that checking in might be acceptable. No he did not die from my asking him to come visit electronically, he had some strange health issues. So I may come visit a bit more regularly.

Anyway, when I ordered the replacement parts for the Rex from All e rc, the shipping was more than the cost of the parts. So I had to buy something else, so several random, but needed parts later I realized that I could be there for a while. So I went plane hunting, and found a ploat for $20. I had to buy it I tell you. I have a weakness for $20-30 airplanes, it's a curse, I even bought a Micro Cox moustake. Anyway, here's a link to a the ploat build thread, primarily pics. http://badiusownersclub.com/forum2/i...hp?topic=106.0

Now I am going to install my replacement parts and then see whats what

Tim

Shoot, Rick I will have to look at the camera. Is it something like this? http://www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm I found a better price with a google search.

Tim

Rick ~

That's sounds like it would be fun with a cam ! I still need to play around more with mine some more, but the wind has been fierce today. The trees are pretty much horizontal in the yard right now and there's nothing I own that could take it. Maybe tomorrow...

I think the Webbie would be better suited for a plane than a heli, but not sure still... I moved mine away from the electrical components with some more foam and it helped the interference some more. Next, I'll try having it way up front and under the battery.

OK I got most everything installed minus blades, battery, and motor. My Esky motor pinion is alittle too low but has room to be moved up but man that thing is on there good.
