Jeff / 46u,

Mine is still good for my Phoenix Simulator. You may want to e-mail or call Horizon Hobby and see what they will do for you.

I have a ESky TX with a cord that will go to a USB port I will send you if need be. Yes I am going to call them but was hoping since there has been so much talk about changing radios some one might have one they will part with.

For now I took the button out of the throttle trim and put in my rudder trim so I can fly since all I have now is electric do not use the throttle trim much. If I do need to adjust it I can stick something in there and press the micro switches. But use my rudder trim all the time.

Thanks for the comments, guys, much appreciated.

Why oh why isn't anyone trying to get rid of a broken DX-7? :P I still have to fix mine from the failed 'Oh I can backlight this oh no wait I just broke a new DX7 transmitter because of the darn tiny ribbon cable'!!

46u,
Thanks for the thought, however, I'm good to go with the DX6i on the simulator. The Phoenix Simulator has a cord that comes with it and has a SPECIAL module on it. It can't be interchanged with anything else. I'm guessing a copy right thing. You really don't need a throttle trim anyway, get it centered and let it go..

Hey Folks,

What is up, with these NEW, different connectors that are coming with new batteries or esc's. I am sure they are safer and can carry more amperage. However, I don't want to have to buy new connectors for all my batteries when something new comes out on the market. I guess, I'll just buy some bulk Dean connectors or EC5's. I have to check into this a little deeper. The same phenomenon happens with ESC's and motor connectors. Seems like they are always different in size. 3mm, 4 mm or 5mm..

So much for standardization.

OK guys, here's the skinny on Horizon. You have to return the radio, they will NOT sell parts...not even an antenna on any Spektrum product. Eric....sorry guy...I sold my DX7 off just before you smoked your screen. You can check this fourm marketplace OR E-Bay to find units that are not working. Right now they have a DX6 listed that the throttle gimbal is inoperative....just an idea.

Vic,

In what your saying about Horizon, not selling parts for defective equipment. In this case a Transmitter. Does not that make them a business monopoly. Isn't that against the law. Hmmm! What if something broke on your car, and had to send the whole thing in for repair, and you could not purchase replacement parts from NAPA, Auto Zone excetra. Like an alternator, brake shoes, oil filter, windshield wipers. Oh my! I could go on forever on a topic like this. Slap me, if you like. (I'm watching my foul language)

Golly Gee, I hope the MODERATORS are checking into the "Timeout expired" situation. I wanted to post a small message, and it timed out in about two minutes.

See the following message I received from my time out. Maybe, just maybe this will help them out. I don't have this problem on other web-sites. I am just curious what their problem may be. I wish them the best in fixing the problem.

It does, but they get away with it. I'm sure Spektrum sends them (Horizon) parts every week, but you aint getting any. I THINK Futaba does the same thing, you can't get parts unless you buy a used/broken system off someone. Futaba doesn't even want you taking the back off it.

addendum....they dont want you working on their radio system because of liability issues if I recall correctly.

We will see what happens as I emailed John Adams at Horizon. About 4 years ago I was able to get a part through him for my DX3. I am going to try and glue the one I have then reinforce it with some epoxy. But at the moment I am at least back flying my 2 MCX and MSR. Put the throttle trim button in the rudder trim.

Vic,

I'm on a roll here. Forgive me. That MEANS, you can't work on your Car, your Lawn mower, or anything else that you own. Excuse my French, but that is (Gotta watch my language) not right, Any shape, form or reason. Corporate Greed is the bottom line. Look at the demise of our Country right now. Actually, Horizon could make more money, BY SELLING spare parts. Hey HORIZION, you seeing this. What if you couldn't buy a main shaft, main gear, excetra, without sending the whole thing back??????

Someone HELP me.[sm=72_72.gif][sm=72_72.gif]

Dave

Dave, I have a great idea for you to consider. Why don't you start a NEW thread dedicated to: Why do reply postings dropping out so often and cause us to retype all of that twice? A second thought while I am on a roll here, why not ask them to install "spell check" like MS Word has too?

JPEE

Mr. Pedretti,

It's called "Freedom of Speech" If you are offended by my verbage, and maybe lack of spelling, I apologize to you. At least I didn't use foul lanquage.

I will be taking a hiatus for awhile, thank you.

Dave

I bet you can't break that one Jeff

Dave,
They won't fix it. The moderators can't do that kind of stuff. That's a website design problem. I've had the time out thing happen to me so many times it's sick.... but watch your letters that "represents" foul language. The only reason I'm still on RCU is this thread and All of you guys.

Blessings,

Jay
