Get in amongst it and fly that darn 'Bear already, Stal!
I'm rebuilding mine after the wing folded over and it dirt-napped into the bitumen road
Eman - a little more information would be good. Exactly what do you need help with mate?

Um...probably not.
I've got sooo many frikken half-finished things that I need to complete and finally fly that I won't be ordering much for a while now.
Still would love a HET F-104 - but that will be on hold me thinks.
Waiting for this F-111 to arrive...

Hey BJ it looks like i can post in other threads on the rc groups just not mine. Its weird. I dont think all my points have gone down yet. Anyways I will be back soon enough.
You better pull ya finger out and start building some of your projects as shes getting hotter now and where getting into prime flying season.
Im so going down tomorrow morning for a fly. Ive got the itch for a fly.

Yeah I saw you posting too Stal but was wondering why you weren't coming into your thread. Still won't let ya huh ?? Sucks
I just bought the Techone M-Zone, I got the mini Piaget but being EPP and so thin .... this thing is soooo flimsy and floppy it's absolutely pathetic.
The Mzone is Depron so it'll be a lot better for flying and rigidity just not as crash resistant.
We shall see

Got it from EPP Hobby for $29.95, shipping was expensive at $30 so all in all got it for $60.
Still need electronics for it too but I already had some of the stuff here and the rest I'll order from HK, about $30ish including shipping.
Total cost close to $100
I am using ultra small components so their prices are a little more expensive than the standard micro gear.
Will save close around 5 grams making this a flying weight of a little less than 30grams

thats expensive little barztard for what it is. I hope you have fun with it.
I spent the morning up at dads rebuild my boat for about the 4th time. We got both boats going well. Took them down for a run but it was fairly choppy. Dads boat was jumping through the small waves. I gunned mine to much and flipped it. Had to run out and save it. A bit of water got in but it was fine. Had alot of fun.
Next weekend when the water is calm we will finally have a proper race. Ill see if I can film it.
Im so looking forward to going for a fly in the morning.
Hope you had a good weekend boys.

Yeah she is expensive, I just hope it's not a disappointment like the Mini Piaget was .... We shall see.
I'm thinkin I should just bloody well place my order with RCFoam and get some foam sheets, CF tubes & rods and make my own planes. $150 shipped would get me around 15 small planes or 6ish larger planes.
Hell of a lot cheaper but the down side is coming up with some paint schemes and being bothered to actually paint it. I have a couple of designs I wouldn't mind building.

the guy i got the hyperion sniper off got some foam sheets and builds his own planes. Works out heaps cheaper but its alot of stuffing around.
If you have the know how then do it mate.
Had you had any success with any of your planes yet? Like hows your flying ability so far?

Actually haven't put a plane in the air for at least 6-8 weeks, maybe more.
Been too busy with Uni and work to even contemplate flying
BUT I got my exam this Tuesday and that makes it end of year for me, no more to do till next year
I think my Hawk has too much glue in it now as she feels a bit heavy.
Should prolly get back in to the sims to practice new moves, I've just doing whatever and shrug any time I crash for real. Really should practice in the sims and concentrate on normal flying for real I thinks.
I have the new Twisted Hobbys EPP Edge 540 and the Blue/Green Shredder coming too. Edge will be the daytime flier and the shredder being the night flier. Shall employ this new tactic with these planes as I don't wanna stuff them like I did the Hawk.

12 days till i should be able to post in my own post again boys.
I took my extra 260 and parkjet out for a flight this morning. Had a couple of great flights on each. I really need to work on my landings still. This is the part I hate the most and start getting really nervous as she comes in.
I still love my 260 but its fairly boring. This bird really needs a bigger rudder. With the hxt900 servo on the rudder I dont get much control at all. Im thinking I might replace the rudder servo with something stronger and with more travel. When im taking off on the ground the hxt900 doesnt have enough grunt to move the steerable tail wheel around.
Do you guys know of any stronger servos that are about the same size as a hxt900? and have more travel?
I think if i had more rudder control on the extra 260 then it would be a much better plane to fly. I also need to make my landing gear on it a little stiffer and stronger.
I think I have found the perfect sweet spot to place the lipo in the parkjet now. I have the take off's sussed now and there a breeze. This bird flies fairly fast even with a 2s. I wonder if i propped down a bit if I would gain a little more speed. Or should i prop up?
Oh yesterday morning I finally got to race my dad with our rc boats. Unfortunately in trying to get the right prop pitch I cooked yet another motor. The boat was cavatating and reving its **** off. So the motor heated up extremely hot. I think it cooks the grease inside of it and messes up the windings or something.
I did manage to get about a 5min run out of the boat with dad. I clipped him a few times and even jumped the bow of his boat. His boat is definitely quicker then mine and we cant work out why as there exactly the same.
Anyways this time we have gone all out and dad sprung for two leopard 28-60 2730kv motors. We ordered special water cooling jackets that cover the whole motor this time. We will be putting in another water inlet pipe to cool just the motor this time. We also got some auto bailers to remove the water that sneaks it.
After we rebuild the boats this time they should be indestructible. Dad loves rebuilding them and he said he doesnt care about the money as long as where having fun and spending time together then its all good.
Dad only knows two speeds, flat out and stop. HAHAHAHAHAHA
I cant wait of a flight video of the new durafly micro slick 3d. We have already seen some pics of her and some flight reports and it seems like a decent little plane. We just have to work out whats the best way to juice this little bird up.
Anyways hope your having a great weekend. Its a cracker of a day here so I might go down the beach and find some waves.

You could try MG 90's.
I run them in my FunJet, and they seem ok.
Re your props - go down a tad before you go up. You might find it spins a bit more freely and gives you more power - even though it's smaller. Up to a point.
If you're thinking of going up a prop size or two, I'd be making sure I bench it using a watt meter first - you may be taking the motor/ESC into overload territory.

looks to be about the same size as my extra 260 which is about 1mtr
I think if you look at the wing tips meebo its a good indacation that this edge 540 is more geared up as a pylon racer. Fast birds designed to get from point a to b as fast as they can. The sbach looks more like a 3d machine. But who knows until we see the flight vid.
Anyways I hope this made your day.
I might grab me mcpx and go down the park, i havent made it to the beach yet. Slack lazy sunday mode has kicked in i think.

There's a few PNP Brushless kits for the mCP X around, the easiest being the WOWHobbies kit where there's NO need to any soldering, simply connect it up and away your go. Of course you'll need to cut your stock frame to suit the new motor or get the frame MH or RKH.
That's the easiest but also most expensive version at $105.95.
If you don't mind doing a bit of soldering you can get away with it a bit cheaper, around the $80-90 mark.
When I bought all my gear there were no pre-made kits but if I were lookin to go brushless again then I'd no doubt go the PNP version.
I guess I could either sell what I have and get the PNP kit or just keep it as spare stuff.
On the other hand, the Brushless mCP X has been SOOOOOOooooo popular I'd be very surprised if HH don't come out with a BL version.
