Hey Jarvis thanks for the updates. As for the pics try setting your camera to email before you take them so they are not so big a file. The other way you can do that is to click edit on each pic then click on image, stretch skew. You can change the 100's to 40 hit enter and then the pics will be smaller and easier to upload.

Thanks again for all your doing

I am finally getting mine done. After about 1 month of not working on it (including a couple weeks in China, then a week of sinus infection after I got back) it is time to get this thing finished. By the way, Mike's measurement for the elevator pushrod exit is pretty good. I measured 11" from the edge of the rudder bevel and then 1-1/8" up from the edge of the contour line (that is 3/4" up from the paint line on the stock scheme). I noticed that the paint line was a little different dimension at that point so I measured up from the edge of the countour line at the 11" point. I took a quick shot with the laser and projected a line all the way from the horn to where the servo arm hole would be in the fuse. Lined right up.

I'll post any other notes that I think of as I finish it up.

Steve -

You hit the measurements of my second Visa exactly. I went with 11" forward and 1 1/8" up from the contour as well. Seems to be working pretty well. Just need to glue in the pushrod supports and that part will be done. If I could find a few nights to work without interruption, I could get the second one in the air real soon. After flying the first one for a week, including my first contest of the year, I cannot wait to get the second one in the air. You will not be disappointed Steve, this plane is amazing!

Sorry I just got in from the paint shop (18 hours) lol and recieved your PM I will email you tomorrow but yes a custom scheme is no prob. Here are a few pics of ones we have been working on. These are for Chris Moon at F3Aunlimited. The first is his personal plane while he second one he will have for sale at the nats. BTW neither one is finished yet or cleared

Chip those planes are true works of art. It can't even begin to tell you how inpressed I was with Mike Klein's new Visa at the Shootout. The plane looks and flys in the very narrow sweet spot I'm looking for. I'm pretty picky.
I can't wait to steal Bobby's when he gets it. A new Neu doesn't hurt either. Ballistic!!!

Should be to Chris monday with the first envision. WE are clearing this afternoon after I get back from flying for a couple hours and I will post some more pics. I even have a little surprise for Chris.

First of all we would like to thank Chris for everything he has done for us and for believing in our product. Secondly it is always welome when we get a request for a custom scheme and it is even better when we can take an idea and go from there. That is exactly what we did in this case and I really enjoyed the challenge. As a matter of fact this was the first complete plane that I have painted in almost 20 years (Yes I am the only one to blame for this one lol) minus clear.

Anyway here are a few pics of the finished product and a few of a private one we have been working on. This may not be the correct forum and I aplogize for this but its our first F3A style jet so to speak.

More Later

The Scorpion is one sexy machine. They now make a smaller EDF version for 90mm fans....when my Spark disintegrates in flight the e-scorpion is next on the list

Chad you are correct. I have had a chance to put some flights on one and its really a sweet flying jet as well as takes off and lands like a trainer. This one was for a friend down here that I owed a paint job too, the next one is going to be mine. I am going to do it all white with all pearl ghost flames and checkers on it.

Anyway back to the Visa. I was not in the shop much this week but the guys just finished getting a new pearl yellow one ready for GM. Its only the 3rd yellow one we have done, but I think their may be some more coming after this one.

Enjoy

Many thanks to Chip for the extra effort to do the F3A Unlimited scheme Visa for me. When I sent him what I wanted it to look like I expected a "no" or "maybe" or "we will think about it". Instead, Chip wrote back that he liked a challenge and I think the results are awesome. Wings and stabs are getting servos installed and I will post pics of the plane all together in a few days.
