No complaints Dave! I figured your CRS kicked in like mine does. I got a laugh out it! Speaking of CRS I need to pull off the velocity stack you already sent me, I can't remember if it has an "O" ring installed.

Dave,

In many cases you can save the cost of the factory nipple along with the threaded joint.
Sweat soldering the hose connection in place works out well.

No it didn't but that is to be expected. This little trip has me reassessing my retirement plans. I was leaning toward working until I'm 70 now I think I will be lucky to hit my full retirement age of 66 years and 8 months (Decmeber 2024).

Don't sell yourself short. When I was diagnosed with cancer at age 59,(2009) I was thinking it was all over and age 70 would never happen. I decided to weather it out and stay working. BTW, the cancer was discovered during medical work ups over a major cardiac event.

I did finally retire in June , one month and four days before my 70th. Would gladly have stayed another 11 years but the researchers in Wuhan foiled that plan.

Now, if you shove a finger into a prop, we can talk

Hope to see you back and swinging soon.
The prop nut and wrench should go out this week.

I was thinking I may want to build airplanes instead of work for the 3 years between 67 and 70. I will worry about it when I get there, too many things going on that could decide for me to worry about retiring now.

I see horizon is discounting some of their satio engines and some are pretty good size for horizon. If you are looking for one of the ones they have discounted it’s almost better then buying used.

Yeah I noticed this as well. In fact, I can’t recall seeing discount on Saito’s so I may be picking up an engine and looking for something to mount it to!

Funny you should mention that today Gary. Right about the time you posted that the FH 120 kicked hard into my finger on a back flip and got me pretty deep. I would post a pic but don't want to eek anyone out. You don't have a voodoo doll with my likeness around there I hope.

Somehow I missed that post. Thanks Dave.

Holy crap! Been wanting a 120R3 for my Corsair. It is nearly half off. Placed the order on it. That and taxes are about half as well. Man Champaign has high taxes! Almost 10%! Glad I hadn't fit an engine to it yet, still have a virgin firewall. IIRC the cowl is 7" in diameter, and this engine is 6 5/8" in diameter.

Heck, seems like half or better of mine disappear. Not religion or politics in my case. Things mechanical vaporize. I even delete my own just to play it safe.

Very sorry about your injury.

No sir, I have no 72, I do have an early high compression 80, it does not need a ring but many thanks.

Dave, if you really want to rebuild an .80 I got one I would pay you for your efforts. She was my first Saito.

I could do that just for the fun of it, Gary gets equal billing, (the movie term) for the rings.

The rear facing vents are not in my truck, I thought they may have slipped down beside the right bucket seat, but no.

Lol
Usually pride forces the crappy chinese two strokes right back into the vehicle they arrived in.
They come back with different carbs, ignitions and becs and hall sensors and still wack the back of the hand that feeds them.
Then they sound terrible when they do start.
Quite unlike the sweet Saito four stroke serenade.

I used to take two starters. Found out our club has at least one thief. Left them at the field once. One member handed it off to a club officer. It was never reported as seen again!

Reward, if found So far, the best combo I have used. The 20 volt LiOn Dewalt batteries are amazing. The extra 6 volts is most welcome and the batteries are easy to charge and a snap to swap out One charge lasts for weeks.
