Well, I think we can all agree we can always need another bench, Where to put it though becomes the question. My benches should be large enough for the wing panels, the fuse though will be hanging out.

cool on the purchase . The fuss is not a big deal but the wing gets a little large. I have a 2 foot by 8 foot bench and the wing is taking up most of it. The center section that is. Also wood glue is a good investment for all the laminating that you have to do which is also not a big deal and you probably read about. But just putting in my 2 cents worth. Other then all that it is pretty simple to put together.

Have 3/4 of a gallon of Titebond. I buy it by the gallon. I also tend to buy 8oz bottles of CA when I can, and 4oz when I can, 2oz if I can't. I go through a lot of medium CA too. My workbench is 36" by 80", a large closet door without the hole in it. I have 2 of them. Right now most of one is taken up by the B25 wing and tail.

OK guys, I have to get this off my chest today
I

SIG!!!!!
Guess what was sitting in front of my garage door when I got home. Yep! The Rascal 168 kit!!!
I placed the order yesterday around noon, and it arrived today. Not even Amazon can provide this kind of service.
After removing a half garbage bag of newspaper, there it was. Looks like one of the laser cut sheets got damaged, but hopefully nothing that can't be fixed. This bugger is one heavy package.
So tonight I take it all out and get it staged. Since I haven't seen a build thread on RCU, should I start one? I would rather not hijack the RCG one, but will reference that one for this build on the things they found along the way on this build.
It will have a DA 100, and maybe JR radio gear. That I haven't decided yet, if I can get by with 6 channels, then probably Futaba, but if I need to use 8, I have an RX standing by. Plenty of choices.

OK Then, I will work on a write up either tonight or tomorrow. I took a lot of pictures, and got started on the Fuse. Quite a few balsa parts got damaged, looks like the box got dropped on its side hard enough to shift all the plywood to one side and crush 6 sheets. There is a 1/4 x 3 x36 sheet that was split right down the middle. I am also missing two pieces for the wing sheeting. Hopefully I can make a nice comprehensive build thread and kit review. I also found a great use for those dead battery cases I picked up from work. They are out of large UPS and hold 5 or 6 of those small sealed lead acid batteries that we use in our field boxes. I got 5 or 6 of them and used 2 of them to weight down the front doubler, and another 5 single batteries for the rest.
First thing when I get back down there is to clear off my work bench so I can lay the entire fuse down and not have part of it hanging out in the air! That thing is HUGE!

Yes it is
i finely got the box out of the shop. Now i have room to work. Cool idea with battery 's i use a bunch of lead weights to hold stuff down with. Along with a couple of steel blocks.

Those are the first rib on the outer panels. They made a mistake when they cut and pasted for the router. So they made a whole sheet of ribs to put in with the kits. The first release didn't have those ribs in the kit so they sent them out to the customers free of charge of course.

OK good, I will mark them then. Thanks. I started the build and review. Need a few more pics for the next post. I forgot to take them of the balsa sheets.

what did you use to glue the skins onto the foam? And how did you do it.
I will be building the sig p51 Quick build soon. I hear bad stuff about this plane.
