That works too. LOL. The Sprint2 is actually getting traded for a Wheely King on Sunday and my Evader ST Pro is being traded for a Losi JRX-S. LOL.
I'm gonna have a whole new chassis to play with....for drifting anyway.

I've read the same about them and I hope so. They never seemed to have caught on though, guess it was the price.
Here's a pic of the JRX-S ill be getting. Ill be putting my Castle SV2 in it.

So, turns out the guy I was supposed to trade my Sprint 2 to, is backing out. This made me a bit angry and I remembered seeing a member in this thread showoff his rwd drifter.
Get where this is going? I ripped out the front diff, axles, belt, battery hold downs, and played with the steering angle a little bit. The battery for now will be mounted on the upper chassis toward the front and the ESC and receiver are mounted toward the front.
Behold the angle. I think I might be able to get a tad but more, but that will be later.

I was going to try front mid motor for my S2 this year. Someone else tried it last year or so, and couldn't get it to work.
I've worked out the steering (as the mod makes it impossible to re-install the stock steering components) to get as much as is mechanically possible.
At least it will retain the front drive system. The mod is still in the works, but I will be doing something with it this year.
Too bad about the JRXS. I have a JRXS-R and it is a great drift platform, and Ihave mine back in grip trim, and it flies! Another commenter has one that is CS'ed.
The quality of the JRXS and R series is top-notch, and the JRXS-R at least is FULLY adjustable. I mean fully. There are adjustments on the JRXS-R that you won't even find on chassis like the Tamiya TA06, or even the Associated TC6. JRXS-R's can still be found, but are mostly all built, but come with some really nice used electronics, though. The last retail price for those before they went on the discontinued list was $200 for the kit.
I managed to get a kit before stock ran out. It's the highest quality kit Ihave built. Every part is well-engineered and made. Once adjusted properly, it does everything it's supposed to, and fine tuning is easy.
Don't expect the S2 mod anytime soon. It will probably take a few months before Ican get to it.

Goke: I'm still getting the JRXS, was supposed to trade my sprint2 for a wheely king, but the guy backed out.
I'm going to assume the S2 is short for sprint 2. If that's right then there is someone that's done that and it looked cool, but also like a bit of work. Will be neat to see your version though. Do keep us updated on it!

It's cool. The S2 (yes, that stands for Sprint 2) is better than the Wheely King (I've had both), so you didn't lose on that one.
If the deal with the JRXS is still in the works, pore over that manual. It will have some great info for the chassis. While the JRXS and Type "R" are two different models, they use many of the same parts, and have many of the same adjustments. I love mine and will never sell, as it's the easiest to adjust, is very fast, can drift, and is the one chassis that has almost no drag in it. My ESC/motor run cool all day.
I think you'll like it, once you see it, and once it's adjusted properly, you may not want to part with yours, either!

[sm=eek.gif] That S2000 is perty....the RC one is cool too. LOL
I've had a TT-01 and it wasn't too bad. It did however get to the point where if you tightened a screw just a bit too much, the plastic would crack. Too toyish for me, but would be a good learners car for a child.
The Sprint 2, I think, is a great car to drift with. I have not had a problem with mine, after owning the same car twice now, that I didn't cause. I sharpened steering angle and blew out axle cups and lost an axle. For as cheap as you can get them, they will definitely get you in the game.
Oh, welcome to the forums!

Nice bodies.
The Sprint 2 being entry/mid-level will do fine. There is an HPISprint 2 thread in 1/10th on-road forum that has a wealth of info on it. There is a rear diff cover mod and steering fix (there's a lot of slop in the S2 system) that should be done before the tires see the street. There's about a half-dozen entries about the rear diff cover, and the steering fix is on page 34 about halfway down.
The S2 can get pricey if you go with the option parts, though some will raise the skill level of the S2 once installed.
I've had mine now for four years and will be doing a front mid-motor conversion this year. It will never be as good as my upper-level chassis, but it is close.

Which TA05?
They're all good, I'm just curious. Seen the new TA06?
Queer little chassis, that. Same set up as the Losi JRXS-R, but in plastic, and a weird half belt, half shaft drive arrangement. Should have excellent balance (the JRXS-R does).
In any case, whichever model it is, you'll be happy with it, as it's got some of the latest advances since you were into it before.

Finally got the Losi. Not too happy with the battery pack location and actually anything that has to do with trying to fit a pack in. Can't use regular stick pack, wonder if a lipo will fit.

They're made to fit a standard pack, and should accomodate standard LiPo packs, too.
Your JRX-S may have been modified if it can't accept standard battery packs.I have pics where the battery shown is a Venom 2S hardcase LiPo installed (the same packs I use), so it will take 2S, but without pics, it's hard to tell you what you need to know.
I don't know what could be holding the packs from being installed, so pics would be beneficial.

Hard to get good pics. In the second photo, notice the white pulley, see the curve? Its preventing me from getting my pack in. I'm using a six cell Nimh.

Take a look at your floorplate. Does it have what look like concave cuts in it? Thoseconcave cutscorrespond to battery placement.
BTW, your batteries are oriented the wrong way for that battery bay. As soon as you getpacks (or solder up your own cells) with cells that are oriented correctly, It will fit right up. Take a look at the pics you previously posted further up this page - the chassis pic shows battery orientation.
That rounded part is the bulkhead. The JRXS-R has the same part. See how it is round? Acell wouldfit nicely up there, eh? Since I use hardcase LiPos, I had fitment problems, too. I had to shim the floorplate 1/16th inch in the rear two holes ( the JRXS-R comes with two plates - one for NiMh, one for LiPo, but the bulkhead curve prevents hardcase from fitting properly.). I found it to be satisfactory, since the floorplate takes the brunt of abuse (it sits a bit lower than the chassis plate), instead of the chassis plate. The floorplate is very durable. I run 5mm ride height (at the chassis plate - not the floorplate).
Otherwise, the chassis wasn't abused, pretty nice trade!!

First post
My Zebra AE86. Not panda, Zebra.

Need to re-drill the post holes, They were for the TA03 but now I have a TT01ES with a white evo body.
Also, my Ken Block Losi Micro Rally:

Ken Block is overused, but oh well.
Pics of the evo later.
