Default What are my options for programming Crow ?

I am using a JR 12x and Im not terrible but not real good at radio programming. I want to add crow to one of my jets. I would like to either slave the crow to the flaps so when the flaps come down the ailerons go up or possibly to the gear switch so anytime the gear switch is in the gear dn position the ailerons are up in "crow" position. I need help with the different ways of programming this. I have one aileron on channel 2 and one on ch 8. Flaps are plugged into 6 & 7 on the rx.. I tried a program mix and have one aileron going up and one going down when the flaps come down.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my 12x. As I recall I had to make it a flaperon and it worked from there. I put mine on the three way switch with the third stage being crow.

Do a search on RCU for programming "Crow" This guy made it so simple.
I fly a 9503,,, My flaps are on a 3 positon switch. At use 1/2 flaps for take off and when I hit full flaps for landing, that's when my "crow" comes in.
About 2 degrees of down elevator and ailerons come up about 3 degress. You might have to ajust your down elevator after your 1st flight to add or subtract to keep the nose level
Hope this helps

I'm a Futaba guy so I can't give you too much help on the JR Programming.

But on the switch that enables crow I would only have it enabled only on landing (full) flaps. You don't want crow on take-off so you can't use your Gear Down switch or Take-Off Flap switch.

Depending on how much crow you have it can have a big effect. Be prepared for a drop in altitude once you switch it on and be ready to switch it off quickly if you don't like it. On my Flash it loves it on my F-18 it drops like a brick.<br type="_moz" />

I don't entirely agree. I have a BVM T-33 with BVM EDF. I have the crow mixed so anytime the gear is down the ailerons are up. They don't go up very much, maybe 1/8"-3/16" range. I realize Im killing some lift and adding a very small amount of drag but both are minimal and it helps reduce tip stall and wing walk so the benefits equal or outweigh the negatives. The crow sure helps the landings on this particular airplane.

Thanks Jack and everbody else. That video did the trick. I was on the right track (kind of) not sure if I would have figured it out on my own eventually or not.

BVM website has a video and step-by-step instructions on how to do it. I have crow on my Ultra Flash and the flight mode switch moved to the flap swith. The advantage is you will be able to make aileron and elevator trim changes which will be remembered/saved for each of the flap positions.

Thanks. I will check that video out. It sounds like it might be an even better setup than the one I currently have.
