RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
Calling it 7 mins average flight time, thats 265 flights , and taking the complete kit cost from jet legend at 2960 dollars thats 11 bucks a flight, and the 200 will keep flying for ever , it's like an 496 cubic inch V8,..... bags of power and turning slowly ,it should last forever....... so keep up the flights Mike... you can't wear it out...and it says something for the longevity of JL products, they are not five minute one flight wonders.... RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
ive got 47 flights on mine at around ten minutes a flight n ive got bought 8 hours on my blackmamba after this weekend, it was rather stormy n rainy but the between storms sat n sun both i managed to get some flights n the fact the temp outside cooled to like 55-60 degrees n the wet kept down the dust that was so bad because it hadnt rained n like months lol its very still today so im headed back to the airport today to fly again after lunch, o yeah almost forgot, ive bought a full scale BD-5 turbine jet n its n nice condition but hasnt been operated n years n so im working on it at the hanger ive rented at shawnee airport, i will post some pics of it later, its freakin *****in i love this feakin thing!!!!!!, airport mangager says im gonna get killed but hey i will be having fun doing it, this thing is like a large model airplane n its the easest aircraft to work on ive ever touched, nothings wrong with it just needs cleaning but it does need tires because they have sat so long on the tires they have horrible flat spots, i wont mention how i found that out

Hi guys,
First of all sorry for my english, i am from austria , and now my problem.
Did all of you mount your turbine on the original position, because when i am mounting my turbine (Frank Tj70/16) and my pipe on the
original position, the pipe is looking downwards at the end, so the turbine and the pipe are not in a horizontal position together. I alwas thougt
they have to..?. Did you mount the turbine a little bit lower or did you fix it on the original position?. If you dont know what i mean, please let my know, than i make a little drawing to show you my problem.
Waiting for your input
kind regards
Andi

Hallo Stefan,

Hi Guys,
I am just finishing my F16. I set my CG to 230mm, i have put all the equipment including the turbine as far as possible forward, but i
still need some weight (300g) in the nose. How did you do?. Did anyone of you weigh the F16?.
greetings
Andreas

i used a fuel tank n filled it with the needed amount of water for nose weight to bring it into balance, the fuel tank can have hoses coming from it n u can add or remove water till u get it balanced too ur fancy lol, 230mm cg is a good place to start with for sure my freind , if u go to ijets.com u can see how everything n mine is installed,

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
almost forgot, i never weighed mine i knew it was a fat ******* when i saw it sitting on the tarmac squeezing them tires n landing gear springs loaded with fuel stock tanks n a 12oz headed tank, wow! i knew if i weighed it i would be pissed so i just flew the dang thing n it flew pretty good with the CG MOVED WHERE IT SHOULDVE BEEN ALONG TIME AGAO JETLEGEND! lol, yup flews sweet with the cg at 230mm n no problems on rotation/ie getting the nose up when ur on the power hard, then on the other hand its a lifting body fusalage so figuring wing loading is difficult, but i think its almost identical to skymaster n diminsions n the actually give the wing load information if ur interested,

Hi imperio,
Cant believe, that you fly the F16 with a 14kg thrust turbine??, is it enough, i am afraid to fly it with my 16kg thrust turbine, because
we only have a 80m hard field and 100m gras before an after the hard field!!. To save weight i m gona use only the 2 delivered tanks with 1800ccm per tank, thats 3,6 liters at all, i hope that will will enough. i bought my F16 this year and jet-legend now sets the cg to 225mm. They made the cg mark on the fuselage and on the delivered 1:1 plan, so they learned.

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
yes it flys it very well, it doesnt have unlimiyed vertical right of the ground but once u get the gear up u can build up some speed n climb like a rocket straight up no problem, most turbines once moving forward at a good speed have far more thrust than static because of the available ram air? most folks dont take that fact into considerations, n mine got off the grass feilds no problem no flaps

RE: Jetlegend 1/6 Scale F16
jet legend stuff is very fragile, i dont think u wanna kick its ass to much other wise it will cost u a turbine engine because they r known to breakup when the rudder rips off n takes the whole ass end of the model elavators n all, skymast has some rudder failures but u gotta really be hauling ass n usauly just ripps abput 3/4 of the rudder off n ya can still land n theres no other damage, but it takes like 300mph n a dive to do it to a skkymaster, ur pushing it at 150mph with jetlegends rudder settup

Take the rudder servo and put it in the midle of the fin. The bottom set up is no god your right.
Also, go over every nut and bolt in that jet. Take the nose gear out and put lock tight blue in all the little screws.
Also, with the p 200, not for top speed , more for power maneuvers. You can flip that thing around, high alpha, controlled stalled,
Love itt!!
