Haven't checked yet, but I think just infront of where you are. It needed a small amount of down inverted. It climbs in KE with very little rudder.
I'll look through the shots at the inverted ones and see how much
Right, had a look and it looks like around 1/8 (3mm down) inverted. Dw

Do you mean the full size or Composite ARF's model?
Full size there are some shots I found by Googling BAE Hawk

Andy,
Its based on Hawk xx238 from about 1987. Do a google search on hawk xx238 and you will find some photos...for example look at this

It's been a long time coming, but boy was it worth it.
I finally test flew the Hawk today at Chalgrove, 9 flights were completed, the first four with me and five friends then stole a flight each, as I knew some people would question my word. The first two flights had me adjust expo, In truth it was very close on the first flight allowing me to run through the book of manoeuvres on the first tank. Further flights proved what a wonderful aeroplane this is-fast and slooooowww. Take off with a P120SX is anything from 30-50m you choose! This is the perfect turbine for this aeroplane, plenty of vertical and 10-12 minute flights with the CARF tank.
My C of G is 195mm back from the break line, this suits most of the people who flew in today. Hopefully some of them will jump in, but Steve Elias had some very good things to say about it...Geoff.
Trevor Skedge, Rob Westwater, Luke Barnett and Colin Gontier all had a flight each...super easy to fly aeroplane. No couple in knife edge, my set up needed 3% down on full flap, no other mixes needed.
Walking pace landings make this a great grass field model, I don't expect to need more than 60m of grass with a breeze like today.

Good luck.
The Hawk gets better every time I fly it, couple of changes on my aeroplane to the C of G and thrust line, I'll post when I have a definitive set-up.
Pixs from one of my flights at RAF Scampton this last weekend.

Maiden flight was success. We all take turn flying. I was amaze how well it fly barely use any power.
CARF'S done this one really nice.
I'll start a thread later with all the works photos and videos.

It does not surprise me that little power is required, I think the Hawk would fly well on a P80SE! With the P120Sx I'm using I only need full power for big vertical elements, normal cruise is around 2/3 throttle

When Andreas was here for CA-Jets and ship me this Hawk bring to CA-Jets. I had my eye on it start measure the intake. We talk about do the EDF conversion for this big plane. Had the kit back in my shop and scracth my head ( that how I get ball head) how to fit two fan in this Hawk.
Since I do a lot of bifurcated exhaust system. I told myself why not use the idea apply to this project. But in the reverse ducting system.
After today flight. I was so relief it works awesome.

Very interesting project, looked to fly very nicely. Do you think that there will be any significant power loss caused by the turbulence at the convergance point in the bifurcated duct. Have you done a thrust test with a single fan running, then both to see if the thrust on two is double the single?
Best regards
John

Very impressive Tam, and for me to say that about a dust buster is really something. You need to put the wing fences on to improve slow speed stall handling.
