yep yep i agree with crohbober, i dont think alloy is worth the money or the weight
I agree with both! Go to the track and see how much alloy the racers run! Ran the Buggy Jamboree Saturday.

WELL DONE 46U!!

The biggest advantages of having silicone filled differentials are in racing. You can tune your truck to have more turn-in or push. With thick silicone fluid in the front differential action slow down, givin you more turn-in when entering corners and less wheel unloading when exiting corners with a medium weight fluid in the rear differential.
The MT2 diffs are not rally meant to be sealed and if you are not racing it is not worth the headaches because all diffs will leak somewhat. You can almost get the same effects with springs, but without all of the maintenance.
This is what seems to work for me:
1. Remove diff from axle housing. Make alignment marks on the 38tooth metal final gear and the plastic diff housing.
2. Disassemble differential assembly and clean out all of the grease. Especially the raised portion of the metal final gear 86336b that has the 4 bolt holes in it. Also do the same to the joining oedge of the plastic diff housing.
3. Put a light to medium coat of silicone gasket maker (I use Permatex Hi temp RTV Red) only on the raised portion with the four bolt hole in it of the metal final gear. Make sure you don't get any on the gears/ring groove or in the recess that the bevel diff gear sits in. (Let dry.)
4. Reassemble diff by placing two red rubber O rings 6823 instead one like the manual says on the outside of metal 38t final gear and outside of the plastic diff housing. Also place one rubber o ring 6823 on the insied of the 38t metal final gear under the beveld diff gear. You will see that there is a groove for it. Do the same thing for the plastic diff housing. So you will need a total of 6 of these 6823 rubber o rings (make sure you grease thes o rings with silicone grease or oil before putting them on.)
5. Put all of the bevelled diff gears. washers and e clips in. Fill with silicne diff fluid about 1/2 to 2/3 from the top of diff housing. Put a light coat of gasket maker around the top of the plastic diff housing. Connect the 38t metal final gear to plastic diff housing with the four screws. Make sure the screws are tight and the silicone fluid doesn't overflow!

The diffs will be tight at first so work them by hand to makesure everything is working smoothly. It will take a little bit of driving before the diff completely loosens.

I use the spring kits HPI makes for tuning the diffs. Not as good as oil but work fine when I raced my MT last year.

dude there are plenty of them just go to ebay put in micro t and find one for cheap that is ending soon and in the last 10 or 15 minutes of the auction you have to watch it very closely and when there is like one minute left make your bid, i only had to do this like 3 times before i won one under $50, i never bid over 50 cause i wanted to get a good deal.. good luck

if you havent noticed im pretty ebay obsessed, i love buying and selling on ebay, i dont think i have ever bought anything online that wasnt on ebay, lol

inside the cb there is a clutch that seperates when rotational pull from the engine is applied, most likely the problem is the slipper clutch is too loose so all you have to do is tighten it a bit, but not too much
