Na, its a thing that happens on them carbs i've been told, the slide expands at a different rate. Look in the monster turck thread and then into HPI and picco engines.
Ok but you still have to change your linkage man unless im not seeing something in that picture. If you dont have that spring on the carb linkage to relieve pressure then when you aply brakes its trying to push the carb closed

when your not on the throttle or brake the carb should be closed to idle and the brades off ! to achive this you need a spring and 2 collars. i can't find my pics but look at the one i made it has to be copied to work you have no braking spring on the carb linkage.

You need that spring and collars plus a special slider that slides on the linkage. Just get that ofna one man its the best way to do this. Or you have to make one. I made mine on my mt2 out of a hunk of plastic a small piece of antenna tubing 2 collars and a stiff pen spring. Ill put my pics up righ away. If yo dont have the springs and collars your going to wreck your carb because its going to try to close the carb when you brake.

Personaly i think they work the same, the OFNA one you could use it both kinda of carbs. The HPI one is just for slide carbs.

I had the standard one, looks like Slim's but is both at the same bit, not as someone said at 12-3, how hard would it be to make a linkage up ? as im in the UK and its going to take about 10-14 days to get here.

It might be really tricky....i tryed to make one and it didnt work...at all. If you have to wait for the HPI or OFNA one id get the HPI one if you plan to stick with slide carbs but if you have plans to use a rotery carb get the OFNA one. IMO thats the best way to go.

Take off you horn and have a look at it, you will see that there is a peace that sticks out and a peace of metal that wraps around it. On the one that its at 12/3 the peace sticking out is moved to a diffrent spot on the servo horn. Thats how it works, just like a stock one, but the top peace of the horn is turned pointng to the 12:00.

Iv tryed to make it work with a stock one but it was an epic fail.
