hey guys got back from the bad lands, Indianna. Brought the truggy x-cell wit. man it rips. flipped it about 20 times, cartwheeled about 30. damn near uncontrollable with the brushless set up. just lov the sound of the high pitch screech of it haulin. just wish i brought a camera and took some vids and pics for ya guys. sorry. the good news is that it passed my test and my friends. flat out to a 5-ft jump, rolled and kept going. [>:] ive been thinking about doing another buggy build. this time, ill make it look more like a sand rail instead of the class 1 truggy. this one is going to be more simplistic. a little bit thicker rod and a drilled out chassis plates to save weight. i'll be using less rod this time so it won't be so heavy. that's why the other cage was so heavy. it had a ton of support braces left and right. i'll let you guys know how it goes. i'll try to get pics of the first chassis up later.

hey Jamie, make sure you take all the side play out of the tranny when it goes together also make sure the rear end isn't to loose and its got some good oil on it. If its to loose it can heat up and hook up underpresure and that will strip your gear...........slipper a little loose , rear end a little tight

some one told me they were the same [sm=confused.gif] but X-c comes with enough changes so I don't have to buy anything from Horizon conglomerants.

hey my new pipe from e bay for 13.00 with shipping really woke this little truck up just type in paris pipe on ebey its the 1/10 stilletto pipe for off road it has a ton of low end its a little bit better on top end also you have to tap in your own pressure nipple you have to be easy on the throttle it just breaks the tires loose even at 15 to 20 mph the pipe dont look to good just plain steel but it was one of the best bang for your buck deals i have to say try it you will love it

hey guys im back. well a series of unfortunate events happened over my spring break. i got my truggy x-cell all finished up and i wish i took pics before this happened. i went outside to test it. got the thing painted the way i wanted it to be, got it to look the way i wanted it to be, and run the way i wanted it to be. i went with a friend and we brought our trucks with us. we decided to go to this concrete place. big open area, pretty flat. you guys know what flat, big areas are for. BASH FEST!!! well we were both doing some high speed runs when i heard a weird sound coming from my truck. it sounded like a little grinding sound. i thought oh great the spur is going again, so i thought i might as well end it's misery. i went WOT becuase i sort of got a little mad. darn spur gears. [:@] it turns out that grinding sound was from my pinion that got loose and came closer to the motor mount. this in turn caused some wicked interference and with the help of me going WOT, bet you guys can think what happens next... outta control truck.[X(] that was the last i saw of my "new" truck. it tore off straight towards a cement truck. to me the cement truck looked like it was still but when focused on your runnaway you miss a few details. apparently it was backing up and i got a little happy think my truck would miss it.
hell no. it turned straight for the cement truck. it managed to get right under the left front tire of the cement truck as it was backing up. all 10-20 tons of metal and cement crushed my poor truck. i felt sick. the sound i heard was not only the cage bending and such, but to me it sounded like it was screaming.
fortunately the only damage was that to the chassis, or what was left of it, and a broken receiver. what made me mad was that my failsafe was in one piece. [:@] not for long. it didn't work for me and i made sure it won't again. so now im back to the old chassis and i think it works better. i don't feel like making a new one being that it's a pain and i don't want to go through this ordeal again.

Hello
I own 2 nitro X-C's
I am upgrading to many of the alluminum parts and wanted to know which tuned pipe and header are the best for these
I am in need of a black pipe and a blue pipe..
for the black I was thinking of the
http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index....roducts_id=632
or should I just get the pipe ?
http://xtm-dealer.com/zencart/index....roducts_id=630
for the blue one I was thinking of this one. unless there is a better one out there
http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/589174.asp
would this one work in there ?
http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/634942.asp
for the color combo's I am doing on the trucks..
1 is blue and yellow
the other is black and blue.
I have the stock.18 engine in them.

I would be telling you a fib if I said there are headers that work better than stock, there are better headers but its a waste of money [8D] If you really want to make your X-c insane come back in may and get the .18 pro engine, its a screamer......lol

My buddy just gave me a Traxxas 2.5 to put in my x-cellerator, i have it mounted in now i just need to fix the carb and get a new one way bearing. He even gave me the e-z start. I already have betteries to start it so im in good shape. Any body think it is a bad idea to put a 2.5 in a x-cellerator? Ill have more updates tomorrow if i can get the carb fixed.

Somehow he managed to get the HSN ripped offand lost. So if ican find a HSN in my parts box i will have to save up and buy a carb, unless the hobbyshop has a rebuild kit of something.
EDIT: Im buying this. http://hobbypeople.net/gallery/637250.asp
