I guess it's time to clear up our reference to "Team Koolaid"....
We (Team Black Magic) don't drink the kool-aid. WE make the haters drink it... besides it's got that freshly choped fishy chummy taste - yuuuukkk

gotcha

you still want your stickers...

Hey Koolaid, oh I mean Rusty....
It's going to cost YOU way way more than just 20 bucks...
Like watching you drink a whole pitcher of pink koolaid on site 1 during the nats, like right before you fly.
And I'll give you the sticker.

we could make it a fund raiser event for the team. We could collect pledges for how much rusty can drink...
I could even sell the stickers and donate 100% of the income to the USA F3A team....
what do you guys think? a little last min pocket change for the team. maybe we could ear mark it as beer money

Hey Dean it looks like everyone wants to join the Kool-Aid team. Most of them didn't know it but they were already on the team.
Since you are kind of the chairman of the team we are going to have to rename you the "Kool-Aid Kid". Going to have a little practice on Thursday with Chris see if we can't burn a little fuel. I hope to at least make a good showing at my own contest and also with a well adjusted attitude I believe I can GET - R - DONE.

Larry - hey wait a minute, your Uncle Koolaid... but I think someone else just got elected to chairman...
How about doing the first Team USA fundraiser event at your meet, but of course we will need "Captain Koolaid", Rusty can you make it to Lakeland???
We could find a suitable impostor - Hey Matt can we dress you up as "Captain Koolaid" if Rusty can't make it...
You might only have to chug 20 gallons of pink koolaid....I better start cutting vinyl...

OK Dean. Whatever you had to give you the inspiration for that... Well, just make sure you bring a decent quantity of it to the NAT's. I want some! I KNOW it wasn't Koolaid.

On an actual note related to flying. I just fitted the CDI system to my 1.70 in my V3. The wind is blowing like crazy for the next few hours, but it supposed to calm down this evening. I don't even want to carry the plane outside to run it with the wind blowing how it is. If it drops down this evening, I hope to get a flight on it. I fitted an 18.1 X 12 prop as I dont have the 18X11WPN or the 19X11 yet to try. I took off the velocity stack and removed my header tank. Neither are things that I should need with the CDI as it should take care of the things those cleaned up. The plane picked up about 4.5oz over the weight previously, but I plan to offset some of that by changing batteries ( I have 2 2600mah li-ion's now, going to go to 1000mah lipos). Also removing the header tank saves some weight, but more importantly gave me a place to mount the ignition module. Took about an hour to do the conversion, including pulling the engine, drilling a hole in the firewall and remounting it. After talking to Ryan Smith about the fuel savings and low end torqure his is producing. I'm very anxious to fly it. I do not have the low oil fuel, so I will be running stock Cool Power 30% Heli in mine.
Will report back after some flights,

well think back on recent rcu history...
who originally hijacked a thread and turned it into a personal attack against us. took an image of me and mike hacked in some 1912 biplane trying to mock us. wrote up a supposed funny story about mike and I. Then proceeded to throw as much mud as possible while at the same time claiming it was a joke. while using at least 4 different screen names.. And getting all his zombies on board to do the same.... yea that guy.....
yea, remember how that turned out. he can't play no more...
Well skip forward to the recent attempts at more mockery - but this time what was mocked was pure chum. Team Koolaid are the haters - that chum was taken hook line and sinker...
It was an inside joke going way back to that last attempt and I knew eventually the bait would be taken, yea we had a great laugh when I came up with Team Koolaid - I just never expected who would be so chum hungry...
I guess what is really funny is it's the same type of attack- hijacking of another thread, hack photoshop jobs - but this time the joke is on them. LOL !!!!
I am just doing my thing on my own thread that I started, this is the black magic thread - if you don't like it don't "CLICK ON IT".
I don't go out to other threads and create a lot of negative chatter - What is really funny is that I have been working on getting a delro plane since december when I first heard from the us dealer - he called me... I am buying a kit when they are in stock.... Not only do I build magics, but pass-ports, defiants, e-motions, etc....
I didn't start this and you can't blame me for being slightly defensive after the amount of BS that we had to suffer through the last time... won't these guys learn and just leave us here to have our fun, playing with our toys, in our corner of the sandbox.... but no.......
I think the new logo is funny because if the zombies are the haters - then who is the zombie leader???
I think we all know.....
MUST EAT BRAINS..... LOL!!!!!!

Clarification may be needed...
An event was created to celebrate craftsmanship, creativity and it was called the Consours...the photo is of the trophy presentation and I went to a lot of trouble to get an article published about Mike and the Black Magic in the 2/2007 Fly R/C "Departure" column.
The tens of thousands of "clickers" on this thread may not be aware of the sincere efforts created, executed and communicated to the non pattern community.
The variety of posts, perspective of the writer and language used may not always communicate the intended message. Some individuals seek folly and joy in the condemnation of others...behavior I do not and have not supported.
Additionally, a personal and public history may be maintained between the primary author of a thread or poster of a reply. I have replied, initiated posts that may have been misunderstood or misinterpreted by those not familiar with the typical reader of a thread.
I don't understand all of the humor and concepts connected with the "Kool-Aid" thing and just assume when my name is connected, it is meant to be funny or humorous, which is great. I think it is clever, funny and assume that it would not be discussed on this thread if it were not intended to be humorous.
My point, I wish to provide a positive experience to those around me. It is not clear to me, but I hope "I" am not the "...surprise ...person ...to hijack...the thread..."
Now, having said that, I think my pink shirt would do a good job of hiding the pink koolaid if it spilled?

Hey Rusty,
It's just that what happened remind me of the regrettable events of last summer. But I have to say that I think everybody (in the world) is aware of what has gone down in the past and a lot of people saw this coming when you started having your fun, I am sorry for that.
I am also sorry if I am overly sensitive after what happened and putting up with the abuse like that last summer, well it effected me is a very negative way. You might also remember when that certain person started the attacks last summer I was going though a very difficult time after the passing of my father.
now that we both had our chance to express clarifications, I hope we are good now.
I am willing to be friends and i do hope we still are. so does this mean your on-board to drink the koolaid
we could take up pledges for how many pitchers you drink, that would be a hoot and help the team....
and I will send you some stickers to sell for the team next week... or better yet, get your guy to cut some I will send him the file if you like....

Dean,
Unfortunately Rusty is no longer involved in the Team Fundraising stuff. Due to a conflict of interest. I don't know the entire story, nor do I want to. Myself and Brian Clemmons will be taking it over. I'm supposed to meet with Al Glenn and Raiko this weekend at Toledo. Hopefully I'll have more info for you then,
